The comment "sounds like your average guy", shows you thier mindset. Hopefully they are just young and will change thier views as they mature.

The kid was offered a bj, as a guy you're gonna accept. Then a white guy for all we know was blurting out the "n" word or something, which gets offensive and results in fights. It's life. This isn't some third world medieval type shite. It's just a guy being a guy.

Honestly, he received a bj from a girl who was pretty much willing to give him one and punch a guy from a reason we couldn't gain evidence as to why, could've been racial words slung at him. He didn't do drugs, didn't rape anyone and surely didn't murder nobody. Sounds like your average guy. Cut the kid some slack.

Read the bill of information.

A average guy isn't on probation for two separate criminal incidents.

And it doesn't matter what the guy called him...if he actually called him anything at all. You can't just punch somebody unless it was in self-defense which this wasn't. And you certainly can't sucker punch somebody when they have their back turned to you.

From Judge Jackson:
quote:
“I resent the implication that has been created by the media that this case has been handled any differently from any other case,” Jackson said in a telephone interview Friday, responding to questions about Monday’s hearing. “The only thing that has been different about this case is the amount of media attention that it’s been given.

Good for her.

Many of us that actually know a thing or two about the legal system tried explaining last week how rare it is for anyone to go to jail under the circumstances that Hill was facing.

The idea that this was an "LSU judge" taking care of an LSU player is just so uninformed, or more likely intentionally dishonest, from writers that are supposedly paid to know what they are writing about is unsettling.

These ideas get spread around the country to casual readers that then perpetuate the lies and misinformation as fact.

It's a truly scary and abused flaw in our 24 hour media culture.

I'm glad that the judge spoke up for herself, although I'm 100% certain her retort will not receive even a fraction of the coverage that the media attack on her and her courtroom did.

So he didn't come up from behind the guy and then sucker punch him? Because that is certainly what it looks like from the video.

You said he did this:

punch somebody when they have their back turned to you.

He didn't do that.

So you're telling me if someone called you racial names, maybe talked about you mom or gf you wouldn't want to kick his arse? If so you have some tiny marbles.

And please don't highlight "didn't rape anybody" acting like he did rape someone. If receiving a bj from a girl from his own high school is rape, they should've booked me a long time ago cat.

Without actually looking up statistics, I will say with a good bit of confidence that its not far off the mark for a 20 year old black man.

Say what?

You know there is a video that proves otherwise, right?

Again, read the bill of information.

ProjectP2294, you really like to split hairs.

Both of my statements are fundamentally the same.

Why don't you go down to the courthouse and pull this information for yourself? I have already read it. Do your own research.

That doesn't matter. No amount of name-calling gives you carte blanche to punch someone. You can be mad all you want. Call the guy some names back. Try and get him to punch you and then beat the hell out of him. At least then you have the argument of self-defense. That is not what happened here. Not even close.

Again you have tiny marbles, or have never been in a fight and if you have you apparently got the shite kicked out of you using this tactic.

This was never shown or quoted by anybody with any type of sufficient evidence. It's still at this point just a bj

I just like people to be accurate when they say what crimes someone committed. You seem to have trouble doing that because you keep accusing Hill of things he did not do.

A bill of information sets out the information that you have that constitutes your probable cause to charge a defendant with a crime. It also sets out what you hope to be able to prove should the matter progress to trial.

Not when both are covered by Louisiana laws.

He was charged with one crime then plead to another when the facts of the case came to light. You honestly think any lawyer would allow a "rapist" to plea down and avoid jail time?

Uh, because you're the one making the statement. It's kind of up to you to back it up.

Oh ok, well if you say so...

Do your own research.
That's not how it works. If I make the statement, "LSUnowhas2 downloads child porn" - it's kind of up to me to prove it. I wouldn't come back with "do your own research" if somebody asks me to prove it.

Or, I could if I was talking out of my arse like you are.
