Finally. Best news ive heard all day. Long time over due. Getting walked off in your home stadium is stupid.

Wonder if it still rotates home teams in super regional format.

The tweet says in every level of the postseason so I take that to mean in the Super Regionals and the CWS too. I guess the only question is how they would handle teams not seeded 1-16 nationally.

The site they play at would determine the higher seed.

Good. Being the away team in your own stadium is dumb.

“Hey, we know you earned this home regional by winning 2/3 every weekend during the season, but you lost one game at this regional, so you’re now the away team in this win or go home game.”

Good. This rule couldn’t have been changed fast enough.

Has this plagued us often?

Yes, I’d agree for the Supers. I was thinking more about the CWS.

Don’t see the need for this in the CWS. But definitely so in the Regionals and Super Regionals.

That is the way it should be. That should be part of the reward for earning the higher seed.

Same. Especially in something like champ series.

Recent memory, Coastal Carolina in 16 SR (tied going into bottom 9, they walk it off instead of us getting that chance)

As it SHOULD be, and should have been all along. Gotta love the NCAA frickin’ up and correcting it much later.

I actually agree with this. We're playing a neutral site. So I don't really care who the home team is.

Just like I don't care about being the Home Team in a Playoff Game or Bowl game if it is being played a Neutral site.

When the College Football Playoff moves to Home Games then yes by all means make the Higher seed the Home Team but if it is a Neutral Site game I really don't care much.

I'm confused. Does this mean...

1. The 'home' team in a given game (bats last) will always be whoever is the higher seed?

Or

2. The host team chosen for Supers will be awarded to the higher seed?

If the former, not sure I like that. Why should the #1 overall seed get like 13 straight games through the CWS as the team who gets to bat last? That's a disproportionate advantage, imo.

How so? They earned it throughout the season and its not like its a huge advantage, just a minimal one
