Ha true, I take it back. Still if you can't recognize McFadden's a stud and Hester is a role player at very best you really know nothing about football.

No, actually McFadden would be the #9 ranked running back in the nation right now!

If you would take Hester over McFadden then you are just stupid. I know I know, its hard to find those team leaders that have intangibles that others don't have (I.E White guys). I'll take 1400 and 15 TDs over some rah rah guy that gets 36 yards per game and people think he's some kind of super back. If any other LSU back averages only 36 yards a game (like most of them seem to do) they would be bashed on here. Jacob Hester rushes for 36 a game and he's leader and everyone should follow his example bla bla bla
I have to start this off by saying that I didn't care to much for JH before this year- mainly because I remember seeing him at the '03 Cotton bowl with his Texas gear on, and blah, blah, blah. I ,like most people, wondered why he was getting so many touches early in the year, I thought Miles just had a "pet" player he was using to send a message to AB and JV.
I would not trade him for McFadden, and not because Hester is white or because I have P&G goggles on, but because I purposely watch Hester since I questioned Miles like everyone else, even when he doesn't get the ball and i've seen why Miles loves the guy and has him in the game so much. Hester does everything right, blocking the right guy when left in on passing down, the frickin' rub screen they run for him is immaculate- because of him, and he runs harder and with more purpose than even AB between the tackles. He helps us win, that's all.
P.S. I would trade some of you for any Hog fan, though. Also, I really DON'T think DM would have this type of year with our team. Arkansas has been a big time running team under Nutt -no matter who is back there. Not bashing DM or claiming he not that good. Cedric Cobbs/DeCori Birmingham=D MacFadden/ Felix Jones... maybe.
Hey Aubby, I thought Caddilac, Ronnie Brown, or Kenny Irons were "the best since Bo", it's McFadden? You may now proceed to the Hall of Fame Bowl,errr... Outback bowl with your great "starting running back in the SEC".

Quote from the NY Times - Pat Dye on McFadden
“There hasn’t been one like this in the conference since Bo,” the former Auburn coach Pat Dye said. “That’s as high a compliment I can possibly give.”
Hester is a competitor...but come on Homer!!
Dye said that at the Little Rock quarterback club, and used his old player as a comparitive example.... who was being a homer??

No LSU fan being remotely honest with themselves would say they would rather have Hester over McFadden. Like the other poster said, if LSU had McFadden they would be playing OSU in Glendale.
Ronnie and Caddy were the best duo ever in the SEC, but McFadden as an individual is better than Ronnie or Caddy individually. It's probably not wise to talk negative about a team with the same record as you that beat you head to head, just so you know.

You guys aren't going to the Outback Bowl? That was negative?
It's not wise/cool to come here to call our RB the worst in the SEC, or to be an Auburn fan.
P.S. We/Zebras beat us that day.

It's true. LSU has the best QB, best WRs, and best defense in the SEC. OL is a little above average, but your running backs are not good. That is a fact that has been proven time and time again this season.

Our OL is above average, our backs bad??
How many games have you watched LSU play? I would reverse OL/RBs in that statement.

bottom line is Hester is one tough football player. don't piss him off.

A few. In the AU game there were several decent holes to run through. Your running backs were so slow getting to them and then were brought down on first contact EVERYTIME. It was truly one of the worst RB performance I've witnessed and cost you that game.

i'm an Arkansas fan and I'd honestly say, without being racist OR stupid, i'd rather have Casey Dick than JaMarcus Russell. Casey Dick comes to play in big games and JR just gives away interceptions while the D-fence is sitting down!!!

Hester = worst starting RB to start a game in the SEC this year.
Now this is the dumbest thing posted in this thread.
Considering there are only 5 players in the SEC with more combined TD's than him, I'd say that he is fairly talented.

I honestly think he would do better on LSU's team because you guys are so much more balanced. Even if he wouldn't be getting the same number of carries, it would make a lot of difference if only, say, 7 guys were keying on him instead of 10 every down.

this is just as bad as the lsu fans that would take hester over mcfadden. yeah, casey dick is better than a 1st rounder.

I'm sorry, I thought I saw first contact usually occur in the backfield because of a lot of missed blocks. I may be wrong.

Agree, these comments are equally ignorant. JR=best QB in the SEC
Dick=below average SEC QB.
McFadden=best RB in the SEC
Hester/LSU RBs=below average in the SEC
