what happened vs. Miss State? 26 carries for 84 yards?

Great game plan! Most intelligent posters on this board figured that Moo ST would be tough to run against. This is the SEC. A conference known for its defense no matter who you play. Are you going to look at 1 game and say He's not a star?

How about the 92 yrd KR?

Lets not forget that early in the year when Kenny Irons was still Mr.Everything and the SEC's Heisman hopeful he was shut down by State.

but stupid crap like this just needs to stop. It has gotten out of control.

gracious...go change your tampon, out of control? It's freakin' fan message board.

you're right though, people need to stop posting hypothetical comparison threads designed to tear down certain LSU players they don't like.

I think McFadden is one of the top 5 players in the country...I posted a question on how he would do behind LSU's line, the Arky guy said he would succeed anywhere, and I countered with the MSU stat...it's call debate.

My point is that this kid is the true definition of a Heisman candidate. He does everything!

i think if DMac had our OL and the same system, you wouldn'ts ee much diff. keiland showed what a speed back can do behind this OL....DMac is faster than KW

i don't think DMac would be used to his potential with jimbo's system, but i think his dropoff would only be slight w/LSU's OL

LSU's line isn't bad, its the fact that they have the worst schemes that hurt them. If they ran the ball outside and used the speed guys like KW and Charles Scott and even Trindon Holliday they would fare much better. The proble is the run Alley and Vincent all the time and usually right up the gut.

Although is dangerous once he hits the corner, McFadden is a Vertical runner. He prefers to run between the tackles.

If Dmac was at LSU would they change schemes or just continue to be hard-headed?

I know some of you are the most "all knowing" sports minds but there are reasons why players like McFadden and Irons have better careers than others. Take a look at some of these players in High School. In High School they were the featured back and had the hell run out of them. They put up ridiculous numbers and then go to a college like LSU that has a more balanced attack and don't seem to set the world on fire. Other's are made to LOOK more talented because they have more opportunity. This is a fact. Mcfadden would be just another back on the LSU team if he was having to trade playing time. I saw him play in High School and he was no more talented than Keiland Williams or Charles Scott were in High School. Also, how many of these "big time" backs have come out of similar situation, gone to a passing team in the NFL and have been just "average"? Mcfadden is good but I would not trade for Hester because he is a good team leader (this is an intangible that many players don't have) and I most certainly would not trade KW's talent potential nor even entertain the stupid comment that someone made about trading Early Doucet. How have we gone from having the "MOST TALENT IN THE SEC" to suddenly having a bunch of second rate talent that we would trade 3 or 4 to ONE for an ARKANSAS player. Thank God some of you are not coaches on our team because you are willing to trade an excellent Athlete in Early Doucet (5* that was one of the best players in the country coming out of high school and will play on Sundays), Charles Scott who has so much upside that he may have some of you screaming Heisman in the next couple of years and Keiland Williams who is another 5* with tremendous upside given an opportunity. McFadden is good but this talk is just RIDICULOUS!

about as well as any of our guys did during the first half of the year. the line has improved somewhat in the run game over the last 4/5 games, but I don't think they run block near as well as Ark's line does. The few times I've seen McFadden this year he's had big holes to run through. I would say his production at LSU would be in the 80-85% of his at Ark's...based on the line and the fact that Russell is the key to the offense right now.

Don't pick one line out of my statement and bash it. Address the whole thing with something to back up your bashing. The problem here is that most of you Arkansas fans know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about our team (as evidenced by your boards and the media up here) and basically think our players are crap and can't hold a candle to your's. Then we have bozo's on here making ridiculous statements about trading good players for him on a 3 to 1 basis and that only adds fuel to this stupid thread. McFadden is good but I would not trade any of the players mentioned for various reasons, one of those being that McFadden would not produce as well under our system.

If you would take Hester over McFadden then you are just stupid. I know I know, its hard to find those team leaders that have intangibles that others don't have (I.E White guys). I'll take 1400 and 15 TDs over some rah rah guy that gets 36 yards per game and people think he's some kind of super back. If any other LSU back averages only 36 yards a game (like most of them seem to do) they would be bashed on here. Jacob Hester rushes for 36 a game and he's leader and everyone should follow his example bla bla bla

My god, can you people not read? I was not referring just to Hester. And no, I would not trade Hester for him because we have other talented backs that can take up the slack. I wish we could put our backs in Nutt's scheme and let them prove me right. Arkansas has always had good rushers and even Matt Jones was setting the world on fire because of the blocking his line gave. Take away that line and Jones would have gotten sacked repeatedly.
