That fact I rarely notice him is a huge sign of a quality catcher.

He can catch strikes. Not all our catchers can do that all the time forget about blocking pitches in the dirt.

It’s kind of telling when a quality, serviceable catcher is something you realize you’ve been longing for for a few years lol.

Didn’t he only catch a handful of games before coming to LSU? Pretty wild how well he’s done

Wild that he said he never wanted to play catcher. Seems to be a position you have to want to do to be good.

He has more pass balls this year than Travinski and Milazzo had combined all of last year.

Maybe. Travinsky last year was surprisingly good versus two years ago.

Fair, but may not tell the whole story. LSU had more wild pitches than any other SEC team last year with 78, about 13 more than the next team.

I hope his knee is ok. I know he stayed in the game last night but that foul ball off his knee looked bad, hopefully it didn't get worse overnight.
