It is also my fear that LSU winds up with someone like Fedora.

Like many others, I wish Herman would be the first coach pursued, over Jimbo.

Obviously, hope Aranda will stay and be willing to stay.

Why is the board so in love with Jimbo? He has had as much, possibly more talent at FSU than we have had at LSU, is playing in a much weaker conference, and only has one NC to show for it.

How does playing in a "weaker" conference mean he should have more titles?

This also goes to show how warped Saban and Meyer have made people's standards. IF we are lucky (and this goes for every program) you hire a coach that wins a National Title. To say someone is unacceptable because he's "only"got 1 is moronic.

He's been the coach at FSU for 6 years. He's won a NC, 3 ACC titles made the playoff once and been to a major or BCS level type bowl 4 years in a row.

3 conference wins in a shite conference. He had two great seasons, and that's when he had ole Crab Legs who doesn't come around very often and to only one team. Every other season he contanstly gets upset by teams he shouldn't lose too. Oh, what team with what coach beat him in his last bowl game again?

I'd love Herman here too but it's delusional to think he'd come here. He's got UH on track for a playoff spot, looks like UH will be in Big 12 soon, and UH has more $$$ than LSU (Fertidda $$$). So if Jimbo is their top target, I'd understand. Remove all practical aspects and I'd take Herman first - but it seems unlikely for now.

If you can overlook his long trail of deceptions at multiple stops, then you can overlook the last 4 years of Les
