The box is a giant pile of shite. It’s not even too 5 in sec stadiums.

If that rumor is true then it’s a bad reflection on Scotty letting the feelings of PM dictate a hire.

I was a 1- Vitello and 2- McDonnell guy. That being said, JJ need some time. He took over a 13-17 SEC team that lost their 2 best starting pitchers. I am not writing him off yet, but early returns aren’t great.

Rumor floating is that Vitello was down the line with LSU a good ways, but PM stepped in and killed it because of how everything went down in Knoxville in 2021.
There was definitely a lack of class from UTk that weekend, but this is inexcusable if true

It’s not CJJ, our players just aren’t good

It may have been a mistake assuming Vitello would have come. However, he has a team full of seniors like MSST did last year.

Lol Berry crews Morgan are all potential first rounders

Guy hasn't even won a game in Omaha yet

But looking at what he’s doing this season compared to Jay shows we were both wrong.

LSU has been a .500 team SEC team, but still much better than that.

Vitello took over a horrible program, not a team that played in a super regional and had all but one position player returning. I didn't care for Vitello but to discredit his body of work at UTenn to try and take the heat off CJJ is misguided. In his 3rd full season at UTenn, they went to the CWS.
No one is discrediting the job Vitello has done at UT. Johnson inherited a team with a losing conference record that lost its entire weekend rotation. The point is that a rebuild takes time.

Vitello is a douchebag and his team acts like a bunch of douchebags. I realize some of you guys would sell your soul to win. But, I don't think I could ever cheer for Vitello or a Vitello led team.

Why the frick would you want Raymond as DC?

Tony took over a much worse team. JJs problem is the team has more talent than Aggie and auburn and la tech. Now it’s baseball losses happen but it’s not good losing series at home when the meat of the schedule is still coming.
I think JJ will turn the corner and get guys in. He says all the right things but years 2,3 and 4 in Arizona would have gotten him ran off here.

Problem for JJ is we have a legit line up. We don’t have much of a staff but it’s not really costing us games like our shite fielding is.

It’s going to be extremely interesting to see what the expectations are nationwide as they look to be a favorite for a 1 or 2 national seed

Vitello was 29-27 in year 1. Imagine the melt….
It's incredible that people can say something like this, and expect to be taken seriously. One guy took over the doormat of the SEC, while the other took over a super regional team, with a bunch or returning players, and a very talented class of newcomers.
And I'm not a fan of Vitello's personality. But these are facts. I didn't like him last year, either, but he was my first choice. I bought into Jay's talk, and didn't expect to see such drastic regression on fundamentals. I thought it would be quite the opposite. But, here we are.
