CPM went on at length on Thursday about his gut feeling to play Hellmers. Hellmers cost us the game today - 3 Es, allowing 3 unearned runs.

He should never see the field or pick up the bat the rest of the season. I saw all I needed to see from him.

CPM also had no clue he played 3rd base until we did. So...

Well had the pitcher done a better job those balls wouldn't have been hit so well and Hellmers would have been able to make the plays. So there is that.

Then add the fact that his replacement made a very nice back handed play to prevent any more damage in the 9th, makes you wonder wtf is PM thinking

I feel bad for Hellmers because he was already struggling and then he got like 5 batted balls his way in a row. He had to feel like a magnet at that point.

I do hope the kid is okay. He was put in an unfortunate position.

You can’t blame the kid that was put in this position who wanted to get on the field. It’s on coaching 100%. Hopefully he is able to mentally bounce back quickly.

Glad I missed this one today. I assumed people were exaggerating when they said he had 3 errors, how bad was it?

And what did the Bianco experiment look like?

After yesterday he should have been pulled and let someone else get a shot. Instead let’s pull the only kid who had an xbh yesterday and start hellmers again. Typical PM

It was bad. Not an exaggeration.

Bianco still can’t hit. So his defense is irrelevant.

He made a bad throw on a routine ball

Then booted two routine grounders

I normally feel this board is a little hard on PM, but this decision was just bad.

Hellmers must have a badass father. Coach learned his lesson after throwing Deichmann under the bus after a loss. Deichmann's dad wanted to do physical harm to Coach.
