I think JD's love for his team and winning the Heisman will make him want to play in the Bowl game! Just my thoughts! That offense is a very close group!

We don't need to hear your every thought.

It's not smart for JD to play. He stands nothing to gain, and has a hell of a lot to lose. That said, it's his decision. If he wants to play, then great. If not, that's more than understandable.

His decision won’t come out until after the heisman votes are done

I could picture him playing the first half out there with the guys and then turning the keys over to Garrett at halftime

I think he will play, just my opinion based on what we know about Jayden and his drive and personality.

Everyone here said Devin White shouldn’t play in the Fiesta Bowl against UCF after LSU didn’t make the playoff, but he did because it was everything to him to play with his teammates.

He seems like he’s just a good leader that may suit up (I don’t think he will though), but he’s got things he could lose by playing:

Injury risk as a guaranteed round 1 lock. That could cost millions if he drops too far.

The all-time QB Efficiency record if he doesn’t have a great game

Things he could gain:

Getting to the 4,000/1000 club, which is pretty unique

Throwing the record-breaker to Malik

No reason to play in the bowl

Hell the regular season doesn’t even matter anymore. As long as you lose early and you have a healthy qb at end of year you’ll make the playoffs

If he wins the Heisman I think he plays. If he doesn’t then I think he has a decision to make. Still think he would play though.

This bowl means nothing, he needs to do what is right for him, collect his Heisman and walk.

He will play.He wants to be the man that throws the record setting pass to his buddy Nabers. After that all bets are off.

That fine Young Man needs to opt out.

He’s earned it and we hope he does.

He is now one of the elite LSU ambassadors

He decides what's best for him, but whatever team drafts him will have him sit and learn. He won't be a starter right away in the NFL. So not playing in the Bowl game may or may not benefit him. An injury can happen in any game.
