You indicate 9 players are leaving, and you list 7 players in your rant. You name Tori Edwards and Jayden Heavener in your subject. Does that mean you know those are the other two, or are you implying they may be the other two?

Be very careful with facts Tigergirl, lots of good attorneys around BR that are LSU alumni

Jada Phillps is the only one that kind of surprises me in this list.
She was behind Lorenz as backup catcher this year and have a highly recruited catcher coming in. She definitely seems beloved by the team but she probably never getting consistent pt without multiple injuries.

And baseball didn't miss the postseason due to "low NIL funds".
NIL WAS indeed cut for baseball.
And the NIL they spent on 1 player that would have all but guaranteed a spot in the field was just before the first SEC series.
Then the other injuries to critical leaders. Don’t pull baseball into this discussion.

Makes sense.
Lorenz going to play 3rd next year?
Lorenz going to play 3rd next year?

Nah. When Bergeron got hurt late in the year and they used Lorenz as the backup, that should tell you what you need to know.
Phillips will do well at a Southland/Sun Belt type of school.

If I had to guess she'll be in the outfield and one of the freshman will catch. If Hutchins sticks around she'll get another shot to take 3B. She was better at Kentucky than what she showed this year. She got derailed early this year and only recovered a little late. Also could try to coach up one of the rising sophomores or incoming freshman to take 3rd like they did with Coffey and Sanchez.

Hearsay doesn’t count.

It tells me these coaches don’t have a clue, period. Lorenz batted .160 in SEC and led the team in errors/passed balls. Seems they needed to justify the spend on her transfer and miscalculated retaining players that could’ve made serious impact for the future of the program.

Who? They have elite kids coming in, light years above what left. Lorenz is an outfielder who was trying to help her team at catcher. The kids that left other than Edwards and Heavener are not SEC level kids, doesn’t mean they are bad players just not SEC players. Your’re correct a coach who had been to 4 WS is clueless, an assistant who played in a WS is clueless, another assistant that has had the 2nd and 6th ranked offenses in sec play are all clueless. The problem with some fans is it’s the coaches fault all the time. Is it Jay’s fault the players sucked this yr? Do the coaches get the credit when players are great or does the player get the credit ?

Heavener cannot throw strikes or spot the ball ; she is a thrower. Good luck though. Tori Edwards had a massive drop in performance. She takes tons of pitches that are right down the middle early in the count; I do not understand that.

Zero starters on this list
Lsu only had two very good players on the field. Kylee Edwards is outstanding and Lassiter was very good. Franklin is promising. Tori Edwards had a very disappointing season. None of the transfers ( if it happens) will really have a major impact. I have heard the incoming freshmen class is very good, and I am sure we will add some players in the portal.

Same thing every year. Great recruiting class incoming blah blah blah.. The majority of them get here and hit sub .300 with less than 10 homers a year. Daniels and Franklin were the only good position players this year that were not transfers.

Don't you get tired of posting the same thing in every single softball thread?
I just want "Her" gone.
The resources available at LSU are too great to not make the WCWS. (And LSU hasn't been since 2017)
I really don't care at all if any of you Softball Torina Sycophants like it or not, so

Football and basketball both have more than enough money. There are other programs LSU needs to fund, 2025...

Did you even read the article to find out why she said that?
She is mainly excited that the incoming class is the first one Bryce gets to basically start with from scratch, and they are apparently very talented.
Will it work out? Who knows. Her job probably depends on it.
And SEC record is overrated. They have gone to OKC at 13-11, 12-12ish.

Who recruited those classes? Lindsey Leftwich recruited those players and she missed on most of them. Less than 10 hrs ? Tiger Park is in the top 2 in the country for how hard it is to hit home runs and just hit in general. 3 top 10 offenses came to play lsu in tiger Park this yr. OU hit .250 with 4 home runs in 3 games , Arizona hit .200 with a couple of home runs in 3 games and Va Tech hit .150 with zero home runs in 2 games..it’s not a great hitters park. Just curious Frisco how did they finish 2nd in sec play last yr and 6th this yr with a horrible hitting team? They hit better in sec play than Bama, Arkansas, Tennessee and Miss St all of which was in WS, how is that possible with such a poor hitting team Frisco ?
