Heading into camp, who's the one player that transferred that you would take back?

After last year I was really looking forward to see Pimpton this season. TCU got a good one from LSU.

Replaced Pimpton very well in my opinion. The guy I felt like could eventually be a really good player was Xavier Atkins, but he would've had to wait 1 more season to start getting significant playing time with Whit and Perkins returning.

Dashawn Womack was also a bit of a head scratcher, but I don't think we get Patrick Payton if he stays, so I don't consider it much of a loss if at all.

Atkins to auburn. Hopefully weeks and Perkins are 100%, but any drop from either, could have used him.

Wr were loaded so daniels isn't a big one. Te were loaded so same on pimpton. Womack may end up a stud, but have reliford and 3 high end portal des.

Was not last year but hurts us this season Lance Heard

Lance Heard
I think it gets overlooked, but I do think we should have allowed him to start at RT and kicked Emory Jones in to guard. Would have allowed us to keep him, would have improved our interior OL, and it would have put Jones at the position where he's projected to play in the NFL anyway. Our OL would feel a good bit more secure this year with Heard. He struggled early last year, but apparently turned it on late.

It also would have made the 2023 OL more inexperienced because you have been taking out an experienced guard (either Delinger or Fraizer) to bring in an inexperienced tackle. As it stood, LSU returned its entire starting OL for 2023...and I think the offense was pretty good that year.

With the perspective of hindsight, sure, you'd like to have a 3 year starter at tackle on this year's team. But I can't fault the staff for keeping the OL together ahead of a season where all the pieces on offense appeared to be in place...which proved to be 100% accurate

Hands down. We should have moved Jones and let Lance start at RT. He said that he didn’t intend on sitting the bench his freshman year and he meant it. We could use him badly now.

He was a bottom 3 tackle in the conference last year.

Would like to see him at guard, but him not wanting to play guard is why he isn't here. Not a loss.

Heard was horrendous at tackle at Tenn and Jones was a third round pick.

Well then he should have been better or not been a baby and moved to guard.

Where? He is not better than what we have. He was legitimately bad last year. Tenn fans wanted him benched.

This is the guy you want protecting your immobile quarterback?

Atkins and Tolan (I know he was a '24 transfer, and I believe is currently out of football).

I think both guys will be studs. Good thing we have Keys and Weeks and then a solid freshman core, but both Atkins and Tolan showed they can and will be great, I think.

Exactly. That play showed why CBK wasn't listening to Heard's demands that he start at LT. We had the best LT in college already. He needed some more humility and earned that LT spot this year instead of whining and transferring. Addition by subtraction in my mind. I'd take 10 Bo Bordelon's working his tail off and biding his time than some 5-star primadonna.

Lance played 750 plus snaps and allowed two sacks and three quarterback hits all year. That’s FAR from horrendous despite your single twitter post.

Emery will play guard in the NFL. He got drafted in the 3rd round as a guard.

And Lance would most definitely start at LSU

He wasn’t good at all. Definitely not better than our starters last year, outside of Chester. He could have waited his turned and possibly come in for Dellinger last year, but he didn’t want to earn it. He chased money and ran from competition. Not exactly the kind of player I tend to miss when they leave.

I would not say take back but I am curious how Kylin Jackson will do at TCU. I am friends with one of his cousins. He came to LSU with a lot of potential and LSU didnt seem to be too interested in playing him despite the shite show we put on the field. He did not leave for cash. He left for PT. Coaches kept telling him he was going to get it and never materialized according to my friend.

Based on our guard play last year, I agree with you.
