Have always been a fan of the Honey Badger, but did he quit on the play?
Posted by tigbit

On the first touchdown Seattle scored in yesterday's Saints game, it seemed like Tyrann Mathieu just let him score rather than attempt to make the stop. Granted, he probably would not have stopped the TD, but he didn't even try. Please convince me I am wrong. Always felt the HB7 gave 100% all of the time.
If anyone has the play, please post it in this thread.

Based on the comments, I guess he is not TM7 2.0, he is careful about what he wants.

He has played like shite for the Saints. His career looks like it's almost done unfortunately.
When he retires hire him at LSU. He'll be a marketing tool for recruiting by itself.

I think he was expecting the other defender to come in from the other side and didn't want a collision in friendly fire. Somewhat of a business decision. I don't think either would have prevented the TD anyway.

Duncan tweeted out today that mathieu graded out as the second best player on the defense so far this season.

He isn’t catching the guy that runs 10.36 100m

Runner had already passed him.
he's normally the type to jump on his back and punch the ball out. looks like he could have tried to force the ball out. He had no chance to tackle him short of the endzone however.

On the first touchdown to Metcalf he 1000% Quit in a very Chicken S*&^ Manner! He had a clear shot to try and make the tackle and chose not to even attempt!

He has gotten where he don’t like to hit. Saw it in Bucs game and on DK’s TD. Of course, I would not want to hit DK with my truck

God I find it amazing how LSU fans are chomping at the bit to shite on former Tigers. People saying he isn't playing well once again proves the absolute ignorance of the Rant posters.
I think he learned from Patrick Peterson to go with the flow instead of head on collisions. Extends your pro career, more money. The first thing Alvin Kamara does is locate the sideline.
I just posted something about him on Saints page. He seems done to me. He looked like he was just really distracted and disinterested whenever they showed him yesterday. Almost like football wasn't really on his mind. He has played with zero emotion since being with Saints.

in his defense, i have seen him make tackles this year that he has put full effort in. Being smart.
