Hatred for Bama evolved into respect. Hatred for 4$8 is very, very real

I can honestly say that my loathing of those upstarts and rogues from College Station put them atop my current "hate them the most" board.

It’s stupid to hate anyone or anything. Football is only a game for entertainment purposes. If it’s your life, you really need to get a life.
With that said, I don’t care for the either solely because of their arrogance.

Same now. They've been dominant for over a decade. Why would I hate them? I respect their tradition, their coaches, and the way they play. Usually very disciplined (although not this year), smart, efficient, and effective.
I'm pissed that they're beaten us so often over the last dozen years, but I don't hate them. I respect them.

Bama, for the most part, has a reason for their sense of entitlement. It doesn't make me like them anymore, but I can respect their backing up the talk with winning.
Aggies have the same sense of entitlement as Bama but have done absolutely nothing to warrant that. The talk with nothing to back it up definitely makes them extremely unlikable.

I am old. We are for many many years Bamas loyal partner, if they had an off year and we were good they would help us etc. They never treated us as true equals but they never openly screwed us either, we were United in the way the national media treated us all like red headed step children of the corn. Instead of getting a ranked game LSU Bama on TV it would be Purdue and Minnesota or some stupid shite. I had to listen to LSU-USC on a radio. We were one of their most loyal “wing man”. Bear was never vindictive and our coaches and administrators were all legendary drinking card playing buddies. The rumor of bears pants etc are all true, my dad played cards with him too. (They were all also alcoholics)
That changed when Nick went to Bama, he quickly identified LSU as the biggest threat and went out of his way to frick us at each and every turn as well as REC influences. Not out of spite or vindictiveness but strategic moves. If you can get a key player from your rival it’s extra points.
There has always been respect between the two programs but the hatred boiled over with Saban’s move. Both play similar styles etc.
You can always drink a beer with a bama alum.

Yes, our beloved LSU football program does it too. I personally witnessed instances of it when I was in school back in the 80s. It happens everywhere.
