When Saban came he raised the bar to a new level. Everything in Louisiana settles down to the mean eventually. In politics, sports, whatever. And that mean is pretty low compared to the rest of the country.

working against Les Miles for almost ten years is what brought us to this year , working against your coaching is always a bad ideal, what success we have had we can thank Les for !

Alleva's emails weren't leaked. They were obtained in a public records request.

We hired an SJW for an AD. This is what happens.

It will get worse before it gets better.

Plus this is more about the "everything else" than on the field stuff. You can have bad years on the field. It's the PR hit we've taken that's beyond frustrating.

Gotcha. I agree with you there. LSU's name has been dragged through the mud this past year. Mainly with football/basketball. Coach/player drama and underachieving in basketball followed by a sports story from Simmons's view about how much college sucked.

To be fair, I was 10 years old and living in Texas the year Curly was hired.

But as stated before, its the extracurricular stuff that's been so frustrating.

What about baseball? No mention of our mediocre postseason there.

The baseball team lost 8/9 position players from the year before. Definitely overachieved/exceeded expectations in getting a national top 8 seed and hosting a super. They were the only of the major three sports that wasn't a disappointment.

I guess not if you were born in the 90s, otherwise, yeah, more than a couple.

30 something. I graduated in 07.

Where has LSU ever gone through a worse PR stretch in athletics coupled with on field/ court play vs expectations?

I guess 2007 would qualify since we lost both games in overtime that year.
