8 games.

So I guess we can't say any player in America is average this year, that's odd to say the least.

quote:

When he walks away from LSU next year I highly doubt that anyone will consider him an average QB.
I hope you're right, that would mean he's seen a great improvement next season, but that's not what we're talking about right now.

quote:

He's had to learn on the fly because he's only been on campus a few months.
This happens all the time. We see true freshman come in, and they're able to perform better than 53.9%, 6.9 YPA, and 6 TDs, what's your point?

quote:

Anyway keep calling him average and I'll keep laughing at you.
That's fine. You're wrong, but that's fine.

i was thinking similar this week. When was the last LSU QB that was a true team leader? Rohan Davey is the one that comes to mind. He seemed to be a team favorite and brought out the best in everybody around him. Burrow seems to be heading that direction and certainly will be next year.

How is Burrow any more of a leader than Flynn or Mauck was? Especially Flynn, he was all the intangibles we love about Burrow and a better quarterback.

How many times does this actually happen? It's the exception not the rule. Like I said keep it up. I'll keep laughing.

God, yet another "sports" word that is way too great of a word for sports. Add poise and palpable. Announcers should just grunt every now and then instead of using words that should be reserved for finer things.

Well this is a weird and miserable pet peeve. Now everyone knows how to push your buttons.

How about these:

Pageantry
Swagger

Enjoy being wrong

Not sure why you're going out of your way to make excuses for him. We're 8 games in, he's had PLENTY of time for us to see an improvement, stop with the new QB/new offense stuff, the season is almost over.

Last 3 games:

54% completion %
0 TD passes
3 INTs

There is nothing at all we've seen this season that would remotely suggest he's an above avg QB, much less think that it's soooooo obvious that he's soooo good that you'd laugh at someone who calls him average.

I don't have to make excuses for Joe Burrow. Most people are objective enough to understand that it's much too early in his career to pass judgment. The coaches and his teammates have confidence in Joe and he'll make a name for himself before he leaves LSU.

All he can do is give the receivers an opportunity to catch the ball..

Josh Booty drew up his old high school plays in the dirt in the huddle. What's that, if not "moxie"?

It's only moxie if it works.

Jamarcus wasn't as brash but he was just as confident in himself and the team.

The way Jamarcus shrugged off tacklers, stepped to the side, and slung the ball around was the kind of on-field moxie that Joe doesn't quite have.

Jamarcus just acted, and often performed, as if nobody was on his level in college. Hard to explain it but watch his old highlights. He was drafted #1 for a reason.

Also, while the others mentioned were good QB’s, they had more than 4 months with the team before taking the field.
so moxie is dependent on time??? Come on.

I consider Joe a tough and gritty QB. But if he delivers us a win over Bama, I could give flying horse shite what kind of QB you call him.

You keep speaking about the future when I never mentioned anything about what type of QB he'll be when he leaves.

You are wasting your time, the Rant narrative is set and cant be altered.

Joe is GOAT and Etling is garbage. No in between, no room to compromise.

He was Jennings bad against MSU and no one said a word.

FTR, I like Burrow and would hate to see where we would be without him. But I liked Etling and felt the same way about him too.
