For those of you who think Lee is scared and fragile, shame on you! He has thrown 3 interceptions all year long people!!!!

I'm glad that Jefferson is back because it's his senior year too! I am behind both LSU QB's!!!

You have to be kidding me! After all he has endured, I would suggest this might be one of his strongest attributes. Les crapped on him last year, IMO, and he responded whenever he was called on. My guess is that he (JL) is thinking Les is about to shat on him again.

Without Jefferson, lsu doesn't win the game. People playing favorites and calling out coaches because their favorites didn't play a much as you think they should make me lol.

It was a great call by the coaching staff to play Jefferson the rest of the way. The only way you can't think it was a great call is if you are still holding on to an irrational hatred for Jefferson and the coach of the number 1 team in the country.

That doesn't mean he's not scared. He's been great this year, but once he gets nailed into the turf once, his day is gone. But as others have said, there is likely not another defense we'll play that is capable of doing that.

Well no shite, it's not an either/or situation

it makes me wonder how we will fare next year with a drop back qb who is not going to be able to run an option. it looks like it could take away our safety net not having a running qb. i hope our offensive mindset will be able to overcome the bailout of not being able to run options when the chips are down

Agreed, people get mad at JJ for having that 'look' on his face ("you mad"?) which I really think is just determination, while Lee looks like a deer in the headlights when something goes wrong.

Seeing as how Les has kept both QBs from the media this week, I bet JJ starts. He has no other reason to keep them from speaking to the media.

I really hope not. I don't want to see Lee's confidence shaken anymore than it was last weekend. If I were Les, I'd give Lee the first 2 series, JJ the next 2, and Mett to take it home.

If we had Arky this week, I might agree. But the only reason to bench Lee against Western KY would be to "make a statement" or something - I don't really see Les doing that, but I've been wrong before.

Still don't know why the game plan was to have lee take 7 step drops and call 30 yard pass plays.

Coaches didn't exactly set him up for success

Have you ever considered forgetting everything you think you know about football, and starting from scratch?

You really should.

Havent you seen all the talk about the Randall kid at QB?? check out some of his highlights, the link is posted on here... the kid can run, so... we DO have that running threat... we may not need it with all Mett brings to the table as a passer and with our running game...

Name a QB that like to get hit and played better after being broadsided by a train and I'll name you a QB that had a great career until the 10th grade.

Ask one of the toughest QB's the saints had. Bobby Hebert played in second half against the 49 ers with
about 10 stitches in his mouth. Then could hardly talk to the press to explain how he drove the team down to the potential winning TD with time running out only to throw a pass that missed by about 5 yards. Bobby often talks about getting the "Snot bubbles knock out of him" Sometime you have to avoid the hit.

What throws were you looking at. After that Bama defender hit his azz one good time(possibly late from some posters) Lee was fading on that back foot runnin from contact the rest of the night.

Gotta love internet tough guys. Here is the link to the highlights. The first was very clearly off of the front with no immediate pressure and the second was just short (better angle on this one than I saw before). It looked like the throws were just very short by 5-10 yards.
