To me it look like the throws were just terribly off. In the first case it was at least 5-6 yards short (thought he was trying to go over the defenders). In the on to DP I couldn't tell, but it could have been the same as DP turned away from the LOS. I thought that his arm might have been hurt on the hit by Dre.
Ironically, at least the second throw (if not both) were thrown off of his front foot stepping into the throw.

they are fricking seniors.
Probably because Miles feels like anything either one says will be bent out of recognition by the haters on one side or the other.

I like what you did there...

your paradoxical opinion is valid and noted.
It was more of a statement of my opinion vs. what CLM actually did. I probably would've "danced with the one who brought me" if I were the coach. It's debatable on how that would've turned out.
In hindsight, it's easy to say that CLM made the right call. That being said, I didn't disagree with his decision when he made it (not that my opinion matters of course). It made sense and is the benefit of having two experienced senior QBs that bring different skill sets to the table.
I suspect that we will need JL's skills against Arkansas and, if we get there, the NCG. I think JJ is the right choice for the other games - WKU, Ole Miss, UGA/USCe (if we get there).

Wasn't the first INT after a low and/or mishandled snap out of the shotgun? You need a decent read of the field against a D like Bama's to throw a pass.

Terrible decision, throwing the ball after a miss handle snap' would have been better to take the loss. I think he will do better the rest of the season.

... or run outside of the tackles and throw it away (if he didn't see anything obvious).

Lee can't stand getting hit, period. He took a hard one in the first quarter and from that point on he was scared. The first interception was absolutely panic stricken and abysmal... picked it up from the ground and just flung it to where he hoped the receiver would be without regard for actual defensive coverage. The second was almost as bad.
I love Jarrett Lee but I'm disappointed in his progress as a quarterback. He needs to toughen up.

What throws were you looking at. After that Bama defender hit his azz one good time(possibly late from some posters) Lee was fading on that back foot runnin from contact the rest of the night.

This is who JL is and it's not going to change over the next 4-5 games. We have to get through the season with what we have. We will need both and les will play whoever will give us the best chance for victory. Starting/pride/favorites be damned.

and being pressed... but I also noticed that his throws seemed to be pre-planned.. has anyone noticed something that AL could have picked up on ?
patterns, etc. ?

In 03, Mauck had 15 td's and 10 pics. In 07, Flynn had 21 TD's and 11 pics. In his best year, Russell threw 28 TD's and 8 pics. Right now, with at least 4 games to go, he is at 13 TD's and 3 pics. Sounds like he is comparable to the best QB play we have had in a long time.

My concern going forward in regards to Lee is if the right team or coaching staff scheme against him right or get the right scouting report.
As someone mentioned earlier,
1. Lee HATES to get hit. In fact it throws him off his game a bit. Starts hearing footsteps more than he sees the action down field.
2. Lee is psychologically fragile. The second something goes wrong or not according to script he goes downhill. When things are rolling such as the running game, the playaction, receivers getting open and great field position he is awesome. But the second any of those things is thrown out of whack he gets out of his game and almost never recovers.
If some team figures this out they will no doubt look to blitz him as many times as possible while pressing the WR's. I would gamble like hell against Lee on defense if I was the underdog with nothing to lose.

Lee was throwing against disguised man/zone combos out of a 3/4 base executed to damn near perfection. He won't face another defense like that ever again
(in game time hahaha)
