Nah man, we are cool. This is a classic "looking to blame the head coach for everything" thread.

Why do LSU love to hate on there own? The sad thing is that most of these kids pour out their heart and soul for this school.

Dunn is the best pitching coach in baseball. They will get it fixed.

Lange = McCune

This is a terrible comparison; McCune was never close to as good as Lange. As a fresman, McCune had a 3.31 ERA and 68 Ks in 89.2 innings. Lange had a 1.97 ERA and 131 Ks in 114 innings.

I think this whole thread is silly anyway; we're talking about a pitcher with three games so far, 17.1 innings. And while his ERA is 4.15, he's still got a great K rate (25 Ks, a better per inning rate than last year). His walks aren't that bad (9 in 17.1 this year, 46 in 114 last year, a difference of .12 per inning). I realize this is the Rant and overreacting to one bad game is par for the course here, but baseball is a long season and any player can have a bad stretch without it meaning anything. If Lange's ERA is over 4 a month from now we have reason to worry.

I guess nobody has heard of the sophomore slump! Lange is special and will figure out his mechanical issues soon.

Did anyone watch the first inning he pitched?
He is still capable of that kind of performance. Give him some time. It will be fine.

He still doesn't have a loss in college. I like the fact the this young team saw that there guy didn't have his best stuff and went out there and had his back. I know they haven't played anybody yet but I feel like this is going to be a gritty team that will win a lot if one run ball games just because they won't give up. Lange will figure it out. He is too good to not too. All pitchers go through a little funk at some point. Glad it's now instead of April or May. Sure makes all those Poche shouldn't be our Friday guy threads look silly right now tho.

Yeah. Poche and Valek are both looking good. Once Lane figures it out we'll have a really great weekend rotation. I like what I've seen from Gilbert and McKay. Hopefully Latz is back eventually AND healthy. What surprises me is how many runs we are scoring this year with such young players. I'd like to see how it compares to this point last year. I like our aggressiveness on the base paths as well. Ready for SEC play. Going to Oxford in April to catch the Friday and Saturday games.

Agree except we need to be smarter and more selective stealing bases. We will run out of alot of innings otherwise in Sec play. Also, we need bugg to get back to being himself. Id hate to have to rely on stallings and his flat fastball

Cannizaro is showing so far this year how good he is. Last year he had a bunch of veteran guys but to get this group swinging the way they are no matter the competition is great. I think the pitching staff will be fine once they get the back end figured out and everyone understands what their job is when they come to the ballpark. Lange will be doing Lange things in no time.

Y'all are missing the point of this whole thread. There is a certain poster trying to force "grill nut" to be a heavily used phrase. OP could care less about Lange or his struggles. OP is either 12 years old or an alter of the poster pushing the phrase "grill nut" (allegedly, he has many such alters).

jabronies

Yeah, one of 'em 99% of people never used unless they were redneck, white trash 'rasslin fans or highschool/college kids still dealing with raging hormones and coming out of puberty.

The other is a phrase someone who uses 'jabroni' in a sentence is trying to convince is cool to use in an intelligent conversation.

Dude.... Put the keyboard down and walk away slowly.
