I have never seen a more beloved player turn the fan base against him so quickly. This is truly incredible how he tanked his legacy in less than 24 hours.

I'd love to know if Ryan Clark had any involvement in this situation. Seems like something he couldn't resist butting in on.

I hope that’s the case man but this doesn’t seem fixable no matter the outcome. People will always remember that he did this. No good outcome can come from this in my opinion but I really hope I’m wrong.

Nope he hasn't replaced RC. RC was more about making political commentary as to why he turned people off. JD5 comes across as petty if he is actually behind this.
If he really didn't want his number used then he should've gone straight to LSU and talked about it. Don't do it in public.
Doing this in the public sphere doesn't help you and it doesn't help LSU.
This was a poor move on the JD5 camp and LSU could've approached JD5 about this before hand. I think LSU could've been a little bit proactive and discussed it with Jayden.
UCLA did the same thing with Troy Aikman recently with his number. They approached him about letting their QB use it. He said no problem. But if I was that kid, I wouldn't want to use the number of a legend at UCLA and Cowboys.

Jayden is making some bonehead moves with this for sure, but Ryan Clark is several tiers above in terms of dumbassery.
