Has anyone ever heard mike the tiger roar?

Serious question I’ve never seen or heard it other than in the old videos of Mike III. Anybody ever been so blessed as to see it live?

Many times, and it was glorious. I would get chill bumps all over every time that magnificent bastard roared into the mic. I have also seen it once up close and it was even more awesome because of the face he made during

I have. Before the Florida game in 2001, the tiger mascot got Mike to roar and it scared the living crap out of the CBS camera crew and particularly the dude who was holding the boom mic. I have heard that the costumed Mike the Tiger almost alway had that effect on the real Mike the Tiger. For some reason the sight the costume irritated Mike.

In 1999, I was in Mall of Louisiana with my 3yo daughter. The LSU cheerleaders,the guy in the mascot costume, and Mike in his cage were there in center court. I was standing about ten feet from the cage with my daughter in my arms. Mike was pacing in the cage and keeping an eye on the mascot guy. He really didn't like him. Mascot guy walked over to me and tickled my daughter under the chin. Mike pounced against the cage in our direction and roared three times. The cage tipped but thankfully stayed upright.

I have a video of my ex gf with her back turned to mike. He didn’t like that and let out a loud roar. Wish he would have got her.

The Big Cat in the cage hated the guy in the Tiger suit. They would put the microphone next to the cage and the Mascot...and he would ROAR! But the could only do it once.

Many years ago when I was a student I was walking down the hill to my car at night after a trip to the library. The tiger started raising hell and it literally stood the hair up on the back of my neck. As I walked by the cage there was a group of high school kids by the cage apparently leaving a track meet and one of the guys was sticking the vaulting pole into the cage. I hurried to my car because Mike was so pissed he wanted to eat a hole in the cage to get that kid.

I ushered quite a few games in the mid '70s. One night we were standing by the cage before the game started and this guy in our Troop decided to run his fingers back and forth across the steel mesh on the outside of the cage. Was irritating me but evidently Mike liked it even less. He roared and we all about jumped out of our skin. The whole section we were in front of laughed their asses off at us.
