Love Kim Mulkey! Always have and I've been a season ticket holder for womens basketball since she got here. But college sports are now, officially, a business and people have to know that LSU loses about $7-8 million a year on this women's team.

It was an exhibition game and even if it wasn’t, people here tell me they don’t care about women’s basketball.
Kim likely found out her good friend Scott was fired in the middle of the game and probably wanted time to go speak to him.

Also they should start seeing an additional revenue stream from the NCAA Tournament payouts that started last year.

I wonder how they could lose so much money when I watch their games the place is packed. Home and away. Are we paying these gals that much money. I know she makes a good salary, but 8.5 million lost is a lot of money.
