With all the attention there will be on this game I just don't see the refs screwing us. Maybe I am just trying to convince myself the game will be called fairly though.
Don't kid yourself....the officials here will do everything possible to swing things bama's way...I've seen it too many times to believe otherwise.
That said....we still be the Gumps !

bama kicks off, the other team gets called for holding, block in the back, late hit, etc... and then they start on about the 10 yd line.
This will happen when we knee it down in the end zone. I've got 2:5 on this; any takers?

You guys figured it out. There is a grand conspiracy against LSU. Nice to see you have already started working on the script if you lose. Don't you think this talk is a bit beneath a supposed elite program?
Posted on 10/27/11 at 10:53 pm to Mxylplyx
The program is not saying it. The fans that have watched enough games in Bama know how the ref's roll. And yes they roll with the Tide (pun intended).

I'm guessing they'll bring in the all-star cast for this one. Shaw, Ritter, and Patrick will all be in attendance. Greg Mc Elroy is planning on suiting up as well just to make sure the game gets called right.
This will be one for the ages since Ritter is/was out of commision, Shaw has hung up the wistle, and McElroy is busy with the Jets. This game is TOO big for Bama not to pull out the stops.
I heard they are even planning on getting that Buffalo Wild Wings guy to help them in crucial moments of the game.

What is a bit beneath an elite program is the ridiculous ref tampering the Alabama schools pull year after year. Funny, the bad calls only come up when we play one of those schools, what a coincidence.

Only after the fact. Saw the Tenn playback and noticed how they would wrap their hands around the outside of the shoulder pads so the D man can not get free. I thought that was considered holding.

The SEC could import refs from Alaska and LSU fans would still find reason to bitch

The SEC office has a drop-box for checks. You guys just need to deposit more $

You can make fun of it all you want, it is a fact of life in the SEC. You don't believe in insider trading on Wall St. either?

I've seen Alabama get screwed by the refs plenty of times, bad calls and no calls, one of the more egregious ones happened in your Tiger Stadium back in 2004.
The difference between you and me is that I choose not to wear the tinfoil hat.

So Bama had one not go there way in over 100 years of football. Oh, 2004 there wasn't review of plays, like there was in that interception in 2009. You also ignore the first drive in 2009 where Jefferson picked up a first down only for the ref to run back two yards to spot the ball to make it 4th down.
The SEC reprimanded the refs for the 2004 call and sent an apology letter to Bama. In 2009, Slime said it was the correct call and told LSU not to complain anymore.
Go

It's not just LSU fans who think Bama and Auburn get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to SEC refs. It's every team outside of Bama. you may not wear a tinfoil hat, but a blindfold is just as bad.

Like I said, I don't have the tinfoil hat. I clearly need one to post on this board. I'll mosey on back to the SEC rant...

Better will be when we do beat your sorry asses on November 5th, even after having 48 penalties to zero for the gumps. This place will be rid of the whorish A lettered asses.

Please leave that sig up after the game.
Gladly.
Also, since my identity does not depend on what my team does, I have no problem eating crow if I am wrong.
But, I won't be.

I agree officiating in the SEC is dismal. For example, in the Big 10 on Saturday, Wisconsin lost to Michigan State (lucky shock to me) based on a Hail Mary on the last play. The umpire did not call it a touchdown. Replay after replay was indecisive except for one, which clearly showed the State player turning around or being turned around by two Wisconsin tacklers, and as he turned, the ball crossed the plane. If that had been the SEC, and especially if it had been LSU v. Alabama, that would not have been called a touchdown. I think non-SEC officials should call SEC games, or at least LSU games.

William Vlachos is good for one red zone holding call per game
