I heard a Clemson fan on Mark Packer's show say we wernt the best team ever and that Clemson 2014 0r 16 was because they beat 4 former national champs that year.

LSU has won 3 National Championships in the last 16 years and played for another under 3 different coaches.

Clemson has been very good the last 4 years. And, with the ACC schedule you play, you have a much easier road to the playoffs. I expect it to continue.

But, your success is directly tied to Dabo. Clemson very little success without him since the early 80s.

Thank you. I love how Clemson fans pretend like LSU just popped from out of nowhere. Yes, it's been 8 years. But unless you're 16 years old, it really doesn't feel like it's been that long. LSU "came from out of nowhere" starting in 2000 with Nick Saban's hire. Then, 2001 (knocking off Rose Bowl bound Tennessee) to win the SEC. Then, 2003 (National Champs). Nick left, Miles came. Won a title in 2007, should have won it in 2011. Yet, they act like there's no recent history of LSU at all. Like we are all brand fricking new to the scene.

So in other words, LSU forgot more about being at the top more than Clemson know about being at the top. Right when we started the decline in 2012, is when they came aboard. There was 12 years of LSU winning prior to that. And to be honest, when I say "decline" it's not like LSU had losing seasons. We just weren't competing for SEC and National Titles. Our "decline" is Clemson's traditional "normal".

Clemson fan is like the middle age guy who decides to start working out at the gym and builds up his physique after having had a dad bod his whole life, and runs around talking shite to other guys who could easily whip his arse.

That Clemson site is the strangest message board that I've ever visited. I've seen delusional fanbases, but these people are serious idiots. The shite they've posted about O's past and Burrow border on the psychotic.

I use to say that Bama fans live in their own world. I'm not even sure what kind of physical reality these Clemson posters could inhabit.

most clemson alumni dont go on tigernet, most of those guys are hillbillys that never went to clemson, dont mind them they arent the people that youll meet in person. I think my comment about lsu being here to stay was mistook. LSU is historically one of the best programs ever but to have continued consistent success at the top in college all you need a top coach, my take from the success LSU has had the last two seasons is coach O is one of the top coaches in the country, and is on par with the sabans, dabos, and mac browns of college football. So the only teams in the last 6-7 years that have stayed atop college football is clemson and bama, uga talent wise has been there the last 3-4 years and i envision that the sec will consistently get two teams in the next 4-5 years ( as they should) with lsu clemson and bama being at the top while other programs like osu okie uga psu even florida etc having their years but not the my projected continued success of the next decade
