The team loved Wade because he had swagger, bravado, big brass balls. That confidence carries over to the players. No doubt that if we could have kept him he would have continued the upward trajectory. I think McMahon is a good coach but I don’t think his players would run through a wall like they would for Wade.

This is correct. It’s like someone who takes the cash from the person that robbed the bank. Yeah they didn’t actually rob the bank but they know the cash they got was not legit. See this is where we are in society. Every one of the ball payers that took cash to attend a school prior to it being legalized by the NIL knew it was wrong to accept. But hey everyone else is doing it so I am going to get mine right ? Explain to me how it is wrong for the coach (bagman) to hand out the cash but ok for the player to accept it?

The bball team very much resembled the fball team. Lots of talent but sloppy, couldn't do the basics. Sloppy starts at the top and works its way down.

Secondly, scholarships are Year to year. Fat boy probably cut a deal with his paw in law that there would be no trace of players or coaches ie death penalty equivalent and reboot on top of 2 year ban.
