Ya. He’s a year away at least. But I think he will get there and hopefully he sticks around. It worries me a little because Ed O wants a Pete Carroll USC offense with qbs like Sanchez/Leinart type qbs. 3-4 wide single back sets. And I loved Pete’s offenses but I also hope they see how Pete morphed his offense when he went to NFL and drafted Wilson. Basically same offense but with more qb movements like draws, bootlegs etc. can LN run an offense like that mostly from the pocket is the ? Or does he need an read option offense. ??

Does anyone actually think he won't start? That decision was made the moment he was asked to come to LSU

Burrow will be better than Etling. Perhaps much better. A lot to ask He will be the difference between 8 and 4 and 10 and 2. We will be much better on the line of scrimmage We shall see. That is why they play the game.

He’s not polished enough to challenge Burrow or Brennan yet passing. He’s electric as a runner though and I hope he’s utilized with some packages. Texas had a “diesel” package for Tyrone Swoops when Buchelle kid beat him out for starting gig a few years back. They used it every week and gave teams trouble. Hopefully Ensminger does something similar. I believe in a year or two LN could Be really good. Maybe not Cam Newton good but maybe like a Tyrod Taylor was at VT. He actually developed into a decent passer.
No doubt! I want Narcisse to get a series a game running full fledged RPO. I want him experienced for goal line situations. I want the option in the cupboard; and not just because of injuries/depth. I think it should be an integral piece of every game plan; sometimes alot, sometimes a little.

* Assumes he is physically ready... he should be. Rehab is most definitely over.

You better try to get your money back because there is no way Joe came down here to sit on the bench. imo

If this was not obvious before it became obvious when Vegas took the betting line off the board.

Just spoke to Hannigriff, says he’s not sure how good Burrow will be for LSU but Hanny’s absolutely certain that Burrow will start against Miami. Hope’ that Burrow does well, Hanny just doesn’t know how well. Seemed anxious to know.

Of course it's Burrow. The second he signed it was him. People think O's going to go outside the program, roll out the red carpet for a QB, sign him up and he doesn't start? Foolishness.

O was never invested in Brennan or Narcisse. He tried to get Tua when we had those guys and we almost lost both of them. Look at his actions, not what he says. His actions tell you everything you need to know.

People just lie to themselves to make this situation more compelling or something. Slow summer, I get it.

Burrow is starter. Narcisse will have packages and be backup. Brennan will play but redshirt with new rule.

Of course it's Burrow

Are people really unsure of this? It's unquestionable.

This entire offense will be centered around burrow. I'm not sure how good he'll be, but he needs to be really good considering the running game will take a step back.

And if people are to believe SLINGER saying run/pass 50/50...then burrow could be throwing the ball 30-35 times per game avg

He offered no evidence to support that assertion? So his opinion, based on absolutely nothing, is supposed to make the earth move?

Hanna gruff should read the rant. Burrow is a mix of Farve and Brady

This dude is the real deal

He may be Burrow's successor but not likely he is as far a long development wise.

Probably based on his ability to run the football and avoid sacks. The "real" deal to me is having a QB that can pass w accuracy but also avoid the pressure and run when needed. That combination has been lacking for a considerable time. Maybe JB can run as well. I still like Brennan. He just needs more reps. Tigers have a month to figure it out if they haven't already. We'll find out soon enough.

Also, the Burrow clan isn't posting family pics with everyone draped in LSU gear in support of a son who will be holding a clipboard with his hat on backwards.

The above statement is a perfect example of some of the non-sense on this board.

Whether he has been promised to start or not he’s at LSU. Are you saying his family wouldn’t be supporting him and his choice of school going into fall practice unless he had been promised the job? Because that’s the way it reads. By that logic, we should expect that the families of Narcisse, Brennan and McMillian should not be “draped in LSU gear”.

I would expect that the families of every single kid on this team, whether an expected starter, reserve, RS or walkon, would be draped in LSU gear and proud of their son.

It doesn't take sherlock holmes, jim rockford, or columbo to figure out that a hot shot qb midway through his career in college, will only be transferring to a place that has GUARANTEED him the starting job. Ole Joe has had enough of picking splinters out of his arse, it is time to take snaps now. If he plays and bombs, sure O will pull him but he will start against miami barring injury or suspension.
Now on to the family thing. I have seen SEVERAL articles online and in the advocate that show the family decked out in LSU gear. I haven't seen the other 3 families pics in gear plastered online. The Burrow family KNOWS he is the starter, and are hyped to one billion over that fact. Read the tea leaves man!!!

Most championship teams have a QB that at some point puts the team on his back and wins a game or makes a key drive to win the game. Hope he is that kind of talent.

Think you're missing the point.

Point is that he wouldn't be here if he were not given some assurances on playing time.
