That's the only one that come to mind for me. Did he run into any problems with Urban Meyer? Seems like that could also be a possibility?

I bet he gets some butt-sweat on his hands before he walks out to handshake with the douche SEC coaches.

When you are that much better than your opponents then the handshake is always iffy. I hated to shake the hand of a coach that just whipped us. It is a gesture of respect but no one loves it.

Anyone remember punk arse Franchione and Saban's 'handshake' from 2002?

I disagree, it's the close games with iffy calls or the blowouts against people who are considered equals is when the handshakes get hard. the LSU/northwestern handshake is easy peasy.

"I think sportsmanship and the responsibility to understand your institution and club overrides any personal piece that you may want to exhibit. ... I think it is a responsibility of the head coach at LSU to greet the opponent's head coach, wish him well and send him off [in utter defeat.]"

Italics added.

Actually, I appreciate the effort that Miles makes to exhibit good sportsmanship.

If anyone was deserving of a post-game beating, it was Holgerson.

No kidding...Coach is a class guy.

It was telling, and on both men, when Coach had to chase Dooley down the sidelides and toward the Tennssee tunnel to get the "real game ending HS" last year.

As to "Handshake confrontations", the one I remember best is the one between DD's staff and the Joe B. Hall staff after we kicked Big Blue out of the NCAA tourney.

Didn't it start with "Jordy get out"

I also remember Bama fans up in arms over it also. Still to this day I remember them calling Finebaum about how classless Saban was, and Finebaum concurring and eating it up.

Holgerson actually seemed to compliment Miles nicely after the game.
