I listened to the audio twice. He said basically he'd love to be at LSU with his son in any capacity.

I don't think anyone has seen it. But a lot of people heard him say it on the radio.

I'm sure things get contractual at that point (differences between him being fired or quitting, etc.).

he may want to get fired so he gets paid

sounds like a pissing contest

unless he really wants to be at LSU - if so hopefully we can make it work

Well, he can coach LBs. I mean I doubt many are going to shed a tear if Ensminger moves to admin position. According to Miles he's good at recruiting evaluations and spotting talent. That's great. Perfect for an admin position at LSU. TE is about the least valuable coach and considering they do nothing but block for us anyway, I'm sure either Henry/Miles/Grimes can handle that position.

Ensminger admin, Haley to LB as well as maybe "helping" BeBe, Coach O dline, Clancy DC. Ideal but it will not happen. Haley may suck as a closer on recruits but he's still a good recruiter and he did coach LBs.

What's probably going to happen is he gets fired/goes somewhere else and Peveto stinks the LB position up as ST/LB coach.

New here, but totally agree.

CP and Coach O would get me much more excited about 2015

No way he considers that move.

Reporters on multiple LSU sites and O on the radio today?

I'm going to be livid if this is the end result.

I would imagine if he comes as dline coach it would be a very temporary stay and he would also need to get paid a ton of money. I don't think Clancy or O would stay at LSU more than 2 years, IMO.

And why would the dl stop Pender from becoming dc? Les should hire him and let him pick his dl guy.

Go to the "Ed Orgeron on LSU's open Defensive Coordinator job (10:24)" on the link below"

quote:

"my family and I would love to be at LSU"

quote:

"There has been no contact yet, we will see where this leads"

Go to the the 5:25 mark, Ponamsky brings up whether or not Orgeron would accept a position coach job at LSU, then goes on to say that it is an unfair question because it isn't open.

Then Orgeron goes on to say (and I'm quoting), "I'm very receptive If LSU wants to talk to me in that capacity I'll listen"

Sounds like Haley is in no-man's land.

If an incoming DC wants another DL coach, then Brick is out. If the incoming DC doesn't have an acceptable DL coach to bring in, then it may be preferable to keep Brick. If Brick is choosing to leave of his own accord, and there are details to be resolved, then he is compelled to stay the course. Not wise to burn bridges in the coaching profession.

Do you prefer a lifetime of someone who teaches the DL nothing and finishes 2nd on every recruit?

Why would O come as a dline coach?

He would with cp. He said he ran the rushing scheme and cp ran the passing scheme at USC. He said it is favorable to have guys you trust to do that. Kind of like Haley being the one making calls on the sideline while chavis sat on his fat arse in the booth.

Exactly, he said they have been very good to his son and his family. The relationship is there.

I'd prefer what I said above. I really don't want Peveto touching the LBs. Haley might suck at closing but he's still a decent recruiter. I'm pretty sure he can coach LBs better than Peveto because I'm not even sure why that guy is on our staff. He's done nothing but stink everything up he's coached. LBs, DC, ST.

Past 2 years have sucked for our dline but Haley also has the misfortune of many early departures on the dline. Can't forget he did a good job with some guys like Edwards, Mingo, Montgomery, Logan and Brockers.

D line hasn't seemed to get consistent pressure on the QB for a few years. Given the guys they send to the league where's all the sack production?

Dline is the entire problem with defense. They don't control the line of scrimmage. I don't know what the issue is but maybe Haley is getting lazy or they're just too young.

3rd down and Chavis exists because the D seldom gets pressure. It's another reason the SEC sucks this year as you see in bowl games. Not a lot of elite dlines as we usually see. Could be a sign Chavis didn't bring over Haley for a reason...who knows. We do need new blood there.

Well one of them coached LBs on a National Championship team and I'll give a hint it wasnt Haley.

I don't want to see Haley or Henry go to A&M. You folks are nuts if you want any more of our staff heading that way.
