If 6 figures is accurate, you’re gonna get the majority of them to campus. Only the top few rounds probably won’t.

AA and even AAA don't pay this kind of money. No way that's true. Not to mention nobody on our team aside from Crews is worth that much

I could easily see trying to high draft choice pitchers to campus with NIL.

LSU doesn't need Top 25 type players to win NC's.

NIL will bring opportunities for guys that were missed and excelled at smaller schools. LSU should be able to feast on these types of kids.

It looks like College sports will be the highest paid teams winning the most as things are now, shortly you will see the big separation by the schools paying the most, and some schools doing it in certain sports.

So it will be like it has always been?

I have no idea what they are getting but it has been hinted that LSU baseball is doing well with NIL. It just doesn’t get talked about as much as football or even basketball, so it seems like not as much is being done.

My point is the sport doesn't matter. What's the difference in McKernan throwing $100k at football player vs a baseball player? Nothing, because isn't going to see a return with either of them.

I think it's eventually going to turn into LSU telling big boosters who donate a lot of money to TAF, to put that money into NIL instead.

You have nothing to substantiate any of your claims..I think the odds that you know any one booster well enough to know what he gives are astronomical

Talking in absolutes is not a good look for a tampon host

No one is forcing you to buy tickets, watch games or post about games and the program on a message board but here you are. If I knew something was unsustainable I would disassociate my self from said endeavor!

Thanks for the reply. I read recently that Ben McDonald said that kids should go the college route instead of the minors. Especially with NIL.

Several posters have asked if Hanny is still in or out of the NIL biz, and if he's out, why....Was really hoping to see a response on that.

Anyone?

when NIL started popping off my immediate thought was that it was going to be awesome for college baseball

I think we're going to see a massive influx of talent that would have normally gone pro

I thought he still worked in the NIL business. What's he doing now? I wish he would come back to radio full-time.

Hanny received a lot of emotional goodbyes on the last day of his radio show, but it seems like he never really left radio.

They should but there will always be players that don’t want to go to school. Plus if you are a 1-3 round pick you are talking about 7 figure signing bonuses. That’s a lot of money to say no to.
