quote:So, that being the case, follow-up comment/question:
quote:
Schools can't hold satellite camps at off campus locations but there's nothing wrong with them "co-hosting" a camp at another school. The rule was to prevent a school like Michigan from doing something like renting the Superdome and running a camp.
Semi- correct here is the actual reason why its illegal.
quote:
Those camps must take place on a school’s campus or in facilities regularly used by the school for practice or competition.
This camp was occurring at a high school. But none of the other universities regularly practice there or have facilities there. Thus illegal.
Which Im still not even sure how them using Memorial Stadium fits this ruling but whatever.
If only 27 recruits had signed up (and it stayed that way) why wouldn't LSU (along with other LA colleges not at that camp, e.g. LA Tech) report tu after the fact for breaking that rule.
Btw, that would've been the real dick move.
Now if Karma is in play here, Mumme reporting LSU leads to Texas getting in trouble for attempting to violate that rule by scheduling it in the first place. That would be awesome.
