He’s outmatched at the plate. He’d be a great everyday player perhaps in the Southland Conference where he’d probably hit .275

He's not even THAT good a defender. He's good, but you need to be an elite defender at a premium position (C, SS, or CF) to be an all-glove, no-bat player.

I have to say, Hughes has had a ton of heavy criticism the last few days here enpugh to either cause him a nervous breakdown or soldier up and turn it around friday....it's not his fault so get off his dick...pm is the boss...

The problem is when you put him at third base you are replacing normally a power hitter that can play a little defense. Third base Normally only gets a few plays per game. So putting him at third for defensive purposes is a waste considering he is almost an automatic out.
11 rbis for the season is terrible. Especially when he had 3 or 4 in one game

I think having an automatic out option would be better than him swinging. At least it takes the double play chance away with runners on base. All he does is pop out or ground out when he makes contact. I think he would have better luck closing his eyes and swinging when josh smith tells him to while he’s on deck.

He has 11 RBI this season, I don’t see how trading 20-35 runs for maybe 5/6 errors difference makes any sense at all. Another CPM mystery.
