Had Orgeron ever coached from the sidelines as poorly as BK did on Saturday?

I have to say that Kelly raised some eyebrows with his performance.

Elected to receive after winning toss.
Issues with returners on opening kickoff.
3 failed 4th down conversions.
One of those attempts was a 4th and 10.
Perkins played a much smaller role.

Seriously, if Orgeron did all those things in one game we would have at least 20 threads calling him a shrimp boat captain the next day.

So that leads to my last question: When did Brian Kelly buy a shrimp boat and where is he hiding it?

TROY and Troy. Possibly add Troy to the list.

BK looked in over his head at times yesterday. I hope to never see that again.

What were Orgeron's poor decisions in that game?

Poor decisions indeed.
I’m not drawing any conclusions yet or at least for another 2 seasons.

That being said, I think Kelly might not ever win Natty

We were losing badly at that point. That’s pulling the goalie down by 1.

Not having a simple 4th and 1 play deserves a pay decrease.

He wouldn’t let Canada call the game like he wanted. Canada all but said that in an interview at the end of the season.

Why do y’all keep harping on this? If you come out at home and set the tone it can change the game. It’s not Kelly’s fault bech muffed the damn kick

Did he not make decisions on 4th downs? Something he was very successful at.

2018 bama he made some extremely questionable decisions from what I remember.

Mainly coaching like a wuss trying not to get blown out.

Exact opposite of this game where Kelly acted like we didn’t belong on the same field and kept trying to steal possessions and points by going for really dumb 4th downs

Our defense could have set the tone by stopping them on a full field. Our offense is notoriously slow starting.

He had a terrible coaching day yesterday. He believes in always taking the ball for whatever reason. He obviously has won a ton of games, so I guess things have worked out for him, but I don't think it's always wise to take it no matter what.

If you have great confidence in your offense, I understand because you can score and immediately put pressure on the other team/deflate them, but LSU has been one of the weakest starting teams in college football, so I don't really get it.

Well known around here that he meddled with Canada’s offense in the first half (not completely without cause). I can’t remember O ever making the kind of disastrous situational choices as Kelly last game, however.

Nothing at all wrong with this.

And what should the coach have done, from the sideline, to prevent this?

Coach can’t control how the gamble turns out; he just decides whether to take the gamble.

Why? That’s right, you don’t know. Maybe Perkins was nicked. Maybe Tennessee’s scheme forced them into some schemes that he hasn’t mastered.
