This is interesting. A group of experienced people judged the meet and posted their scores. They had LSU finish a full four tenths ahead of Florida. LSU and UCLA tied just a half tenth from OU who won. I didn’t watch any of the Florida scores. Were they really that over scored?

Florida no doubt was overscored all over on vault with literally no sticks

Some of the floor routines as well. They had people bounce out of passes and land awkwardly

I can't complain about their bar scores because they killed it on that event

Can't say much about beam because I didn't watch them on that

Please share what the deductions were. I’m curious.

To be honest, I wouldn't have noticed them if she hadnt pointed it out. As the poster after you said, one was a form deduction and maybe even a step back, not positive, but it wasn't a 10 for sure. The vault, and I could be wrong, was either shoulder position or legs/knees bent or crossed.
Either way they seemed to be scored a little low regardless.
Still a GREAT showing by the Tigers and with better luck on 2 or 3 routines, they could have pulled it out!

Sarah Edwards was so damn clutch, first stick of her entire career came in the last rotation at Super Six

Still can't believe Campbell couldn't break 9.90 with the performances she had today and yesterday.

Yes, I still can’t believe the first stuck vault from her came tonight as a freshman! She set the tone for that rotation! I was legit jumping up and down after that vault.

I’m not sure what they are seeing with Reagan, but she saved her best routines for last as well. I think they are still taking away from her leaps. I still feel like she just has too much in that routine.

I’m so excited for next year to see the freshman grow and contribute more. They were stellar this year.

I hope McKenna can come back strong and fast to be able to give us her floor and vaults back.

Yup I think yall will see Campbell a lot on floor next year. She can be just phenomenal on that event. She opens with a tucked full in, which is an E skill, if you like artistry it'll be a match in heaven for yall

I am excited to see some upgrades in skills this offseason. People may not remember Myia when she was only a true freshman but she didn't look like she could ever be special on floor. She learned how to do a double layout in the offseason, cleaned some stuff up and its been up from there.

Kirby is suppose to work on some upgrades on floor, pretty sure they would like to do a front double full for her first pass. Bridget Dean is pretty powerful so they have a lot of options with her.

I am skeptical about Priessman's presence on floor as a senior, luckily (don't mean it literally) next year will be her last year. Its just way too much for her body and we are already overly cautious with her. The entire time in nationals she had some major difficulties with generating the power for the full in. Ankles seem to have a really hard time. She already has more shoulder issues that will need to be addressed this offseason, so I would definitely not count on her as someone to use on floor next season.

With how much Sarah Edwards developed in such a short time I couldn't imagine what she would look like with another offseason. She is currently a walk on but deserves and will receive a scholarship.

Just going by what you and others complain on softball threads, but why isn't there the same accountability for gymnastics as there is for softabll?? We've had 41 years of getting close, but y'all don't complain... softball in top 5 4 out of last 6 years and everyone is calling for coaches' heads to roll. I just don't get it....

No honestly, I hope Coach Breaux stays as long as she wants, but I think the question is legit to many of you holding a double standard.

I understand your question, but I think you're asking the wrong question. I think what you should be asking is why we have so many whiny bitches on here that want to criticize the softball program ....not why don't they criticize gymnastics more. I think they need to stop criticizing softball program as much as they do ....not criticize gymnastics more to make it equally harsh as softball

Because most of our fanbase especially on the rant are a bunch of losers who aren’t happy with their mundane lives so they take out on college kids and coaches who are in the top echelon of their sport

During D D Breaux's tenure there have only been six schools which won national titles. While she dealt with inadequate funding and support from the university the schools which won gave gymnastics much higher priority and established themselves as the destination for the top gymnasts in the country. LSU is now in that elite company and will likely win a title within the next few years, possibly next year.

Sorry I was right the first time I recently put noon and then I thought the flight was later, but they should be landing somewhere around noon in Baton Rouge and back to the training facility around 12:30 on Sunday

Seems like we need to start hitting 198, consistently, to win a title. Basically averaging 9.9 across the board. Can we get there?
