Thanks for the encouragement, Tigerbait. I just wish something could be done with NCAA scoring.

I turned the tv off before UCLA even finished beam. Did anyone see how the team looked?

Congratulations to UCLA and OU. They deserved to be 1&2. Florida @ 3, eh, not so much. There were numerous hundredths given to them that weren’t given to and deserved by LSU. I am sorry if this pisses some of the gym purists off by F the Gators. LSU is better than them. They have proved it more than once this season. To have bullshite judging take that away from them tonight is sad.

Frustrated but proud, DD told them no crying and to keep their heads up because they have a lot to be proud of. This years team was a lot more inexperienced, youthful and beaut up compared to LSU's last two teams yet they still accomplished a lot of stuff this season and broke records from the 2016 and 2017 teams.

Next year UCLA loses Peng-Peng Lee and some other major seniors. Of course they just replace them with other national team members

Florida loses McMurty, Baker

We lose hambrick and erin, but return a lot of routines

I always write UCLA off becuase they just never seemed to work hard like other teams do. Boy, was I underestimating the value for them of getting Peng back this year. She just won them that title.

Sorry, I have so many emotional thoughts!

I have to say what a way for Myia to go out! She hit every single thing tonight. Didn’t get the 9.9s on bars and beam becuase of her placement (another gigantic issue), but I could not be more proud. She will be missed so much.

I mean you have the freaking gymcastic girl who is a HUGE UCLA fan actually tweet out that Sarah Finnegan should have got a 10 on floor and Sarah Edwards should have got a 10 on vault but no, our girls won’t get the 10’s. Those are saved for OU and UCLA only. I’m so beyond frustrated

To be fair, my ol lady called out both Finnegan and Edwards' deductions, and she is a gymnastics instructor and was a level 10 gymnast. Also said the girl from UCLA had possibly one of the cleanest bar and beam routines she has ever seen. Her shoulder positioning was textbook and her knees had very little bend throughout both routines.

Please share what the deductions were. I’m curious.

Edwards had a slight form deduction in the air. For me it wasn't a 10, I didn't think LSU earned any 10's but I thought some of our routines were underscored, specifically on vault

I take it yall are discussing Sarah's floor?

I’m not advocating a 10. I just wanted to be clear, but possibly something a little higher than a 9.95 for Sarah Finnegan on floor.

I have no experience or expertise in judging whatsoever. I have not rewatched routines. With that said, underscores tonight in my opinion were Myia’s bars and beam. Sarah Finnegan’s vault and Julianna’s vault. Kennedi Edney’s beam seemed low. Sarah’s beam was also underscored in my opinion, but I think they always hit her for the arm wave on her side somi.

Two area's I "could" see why Sarah was deducted, the last pass she possibly to the judges didn't show enough control, it was a pretty decent step back. The form itself was excellent, only form error I could possibly see is from her opening pass but I would need to see a replay

There is just a major contrast from how the NCAA is judged compared to the elite level. Elite world is where I always am, so I could find countless deductions on every routine but i cant because this is the NCAA level.

Sarah on beam is probably the side somi, it looked like a minor wave for balance. Not sure where the other deduction is because the leaps were excellent

Edney on beam is hammered because of her feet, a lot of times she doesn't point her toes and loses a lot on the leap portions. Sometimes there is a little bit of knee bent on her acro series

Julianna, I am not sure. Block off the table was fine. Form was perfect, only deduction I saw was crossed feet in the air but its difficult to see live when it happens. IMO it was a 9.90 but its absurd it was scored lower. Maybe someone didn't like the amplitude or distance of the vault but its better than 90% of the vaults. There could not be a deduction because it was offline because her vault was down the middle

Believe it or not I think LSU's team will be improved next year.

I don't doubt you. I will admit I know very little about the sport. But the scoring is complete bullshite. I take nothing away from UCLA and likely still wins, but LSU was underscored. I don't see the biases changing. It is almost like the judges have a predetermined amount of 10.0's or 9.95's to give out and they won't give a high score to any of our girls no matter how good they do.
