So dumb question but I see unlike the olympics there is no degree of difficulty factor so why the hell would you do anything overly difficult?

Don't understand why people are saying OU is not doing difficult routines. The starting value of almost all of their routines have a starting difficulty of 10.0. So, must be pretty hard.

A lot of gymnasts do routines that could technically be scored higher than a 10.0 if you scored it like the Olympics. Part of the idea is that the judges will be more forgiving or rewarding.
