Seems LSU really jumped the gun on including Gunter on there with the NC win by Mulkey.

I’m not to sure how you keep Mulkey’s name off the court.

Dale Brown and his media cucks are such fricking losers.

It brings me so much joy seeing his legacy reduced to Gunter sharing the name of the court with him

They’ll build a new facility and put CKM’s name on it

Someone said it best - Gunter is probably rolling in her grave over this and would not have wanted any of this attention over something so stupid and trivial.
Dales cronies with his blessing are mucking up Gunter's name in all of this for what, to prop up a known cheater who battled the NCAA that still has trivial violations in their wheelhouse.
Dale should be commended for continuing to be an advocate for all of his former players and his legacy did not change by naming a court for him.

I love how all this went on when Mulkey upstaged both of them.

Without getting into the politics of this for a second, I have never paid any attention to the name of any football or baseball field or basketball court. I’m sure they call them the full names before every game in the “Welcome to” section, but it’s always in one ear and out the other.

At LSU, it’s simply Tiger Stadium, the PMAC, and Alex Box, no matter who or how many names they try to dedicate the fields or court to.

I get why this is a political issue for some in this current American climate. But if the people who are spending time, money, and political capital on this knew just how few people gave even the smallest of fricks, they would move on to something more important tout suite. It’s much ado about nothing.

Which is why you never name a Court after a Coach who never even got to the National Championship game. Let alone never win a Championship.

I think some of you are not aware of how big an impact Coach Gunter had. She is in the Naismith HOF as a coach at LSU AND an Olympic coach- inducted twice. Dale will never sniff the Naismith. Is Kim next level- of course, but Gunter far superior achievement wise to Dale. And I love what dale did for LSU mens hoops.

They did themselves absolutely no favors in how they handled this. They thought taking the offensive was prudent but they underestimated the popularity of Brown here. It backfired.

Dale Brown can kick rocks. They should have taken his name off the court.

I think you meant to say they OVERestimated the popularity of Brown.

Everybody with a brain cell knew it was a bad idea to name after Dale, and 10x worse idea to add Gunter.

I guess it should be Gunter/Mulkey/Van Chancellor Court then?
Can we quit pretending anybody cares about womens basketball? Obviously Kim and the NC have brought some attention to it, but stop comparing the womens game to mens bball. Its barely better than middle school boys basketball.

Honestly it shouldnt be named after anyone at this point.

Wipe out the pretenders and name it after the only champion in LSU history - Kim Mulkey Court.
