LSU’s offensive assistant coaches tried to convince LSU head coach Les Miles not to run right at Alabama’s formidable Front Seven last season.
But Miles stuck with tailback Leonard Fournette.

Usually, that's not a bad idea. That wasn't the case in Tuscaloosa last year though.

Call me crazy for riding again with Miles but I think he will be ready to mix it up this year if needed. The guy is clearly stubborn but i think he saw the light after what almost happened. Not saying the offense looks dramatically different. Just we will allow Harris to win or lose a game if we can't run over a team.

And will likely do the same in 2016.
All plays still go through Miles, he reiterated that at Media Days on Thursday.
"If you don't like the plays called be mad at me not Cam Cameron".

If we would've lost without Fournette getting 20 touched Miles should have been fired right there
Also
We tried to pass. Harris for hurt and intercepted. O line didn't help
Why are we still talking about this in the middle of july

We tried throwing it. Harris wasnt up to the challenge.
Did you miss Harris going 6-19 with an int to start the 2nd half?
Also, bama didnt load the box. They stopped us with a normal from 7.

He needs to quit beating a dead horse. Miles and the staff will have to plan better and execute plan this year. It's all on the line this year for Les against Bama.

Or the fact that he was clearly not 100% after that hit?

Les was in a no-win. If Harris throws 4 picks & we lose, Les gets raped for throwing so much & not feeding the ball to LF7.
The issue is not, nor has it ever been relying on the running game. It's the fact that it's the most predictable, unimaginative ground game one can come up with.
When tearing down a wall, banging your head against it is a terrible strategy when a sledgehammer is in your hands.

The zone read threat was also out the window after that too. I think that was gonna be a good portion of our run game once Miles and company realized that their front 7 was getting such great push up front and when he got hurt it really fricked us.

What are you talking about? Miles is one of the best run game coaches in cfb. You do realize that those great oregon offenses ran all of 3 run plays all year right? Everyone on the planet knows a zone read is coming but they EXECUTE. This tired myth that all these cfb programs run these innovative and wildly intricate plays is just utter bullshite. We run out of more formations that almost every team in cfb.

Bama lost some unreal talent in the front seven. They will not have that kind of talent this year.

Yeah...I don't believe that for a second

Losing to Bama was not what got Les in hot water last year. We were not supposed to win that game anyway. Losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss the following games in the manner that we lost was what put him on the ropes.
I was mostly aggrevated that we wasted the first 8 games last season and did not do more to develop a possession style passing game with WR screens, RB screens, RB hot routes, and slants.
