Guilbeau thinks acceptance of Miles is equivalent to hatred of Saban.
And since Guilbeau worships Saban, he will never acknowledge Miles in a pleasant light.

Do you think LSU would have beaten the teams VT and OU lost to last week? I'd have a hard time saying they would have.

Did he have them ahead of us last week or jump them up this week?

i honestly don't see how you can have VT ahead of LSU

Not much on Guilbeau, but I think 13 is fair, if not a notch are two high given our record last year and how we have played to this point this year.
Okie St. ahead of us is debateable but Va. Tech lost to a team ranked higher than them, so no issue there.

That's not the question that should be asked.
The question should be would LSU beat VT?

What matters is where we finish..
Get past UGA undefeated and we might have something this year

Guilbeau is the most idiotic sports writer there is.

I would put money on LSU beating VT..it would be a low scoring game but I think we roll!

I actually think 13-15 is about right for us at this point in the season.

got to disagree at THIS POINT in the season. However, I do think if we continue to improve by season's end our talent would win that game. JJ is not ready for VT defense as would be the case for Bama's. And our D if not ready yet. late in the season, this may be a diff team as they learn to play within the system. just my opinion.

Do you think the dude is trying to get revenge on Miles for closing practices? You recall his doom & gloom article a couple weeks back where he threw a temper tantrum on the subject?

GG is just a dumbass who can't stop himself from telling everyone about it.

I have in the past questioned Guilbeau for his early season rankings, and of the times I remember doing so, it was a justified question and panned out through the season..
Miss St as his SEC or West Div preseason #1 back around 2000, in his Advocate SEC Rankings.
His 2007 preseason #4 Texas at #2, in his rankings for week #2, yet they finished with three losses and at #17 in the end. This coming off a year where their passing defense was in the 110 to 120 range, and again was very similar this next year with much of the same personnel, and had yet lost it's best two DBs to the NFL. This ranking following need to use their hands team to close out an onside kickoff by Ark St in their opener..21-13..
Etc..
But, in this case, he may be correct. OU, despite some critical area revamping, when with Bradford is better than LSU, and his injury is why a very very good BYU team was able to win.
VT, despite the massive yardage edge by Bama, was still in the game as it turned to the 4th quarter. And despite their key injuries heading into the year, look a very strong team, one that may once again win the ACC. The difference between they and LSU appears as much schedule as talent though.
The next month should provide clarity one way or the other to this debate.
Guilbeau gets abused by many of you guys, but he is far from the silly AP voter that so many other writers are and can be with their polls. And though not generally as generous as say the sharp Kirk Bohls in Austin in singing the Tigers praises, nor in low-balling of LSU as the solid Bay Area columnist Ray Ratto does, Guilbeau usually has LSU fairly well pegged.
