Ugh, I don't know of many successful back surgeries from people I know that have had them. Hopefully they try everything thing else first.

Back surgery should be relegated to those over 35 years old. Not someone who is 21 years old. I’m fortunate that I am 57 and never had back or neck injuries. However, my left rotator cuff is messed up after I got a Covid shot three years ago.

Seems like this happens to us in some way shape or form every year.

Obviously Guidry and his doctors tried everything non-surgical and realized he was not getting better. No reason to make his situation worse by trying to come back this year with his back not willing. Now he can have his surgery done with a lot more prep time before next season. I expect he will be back at LSU.

Sheerin was just throwing last week. I wouldn't count him out just yet.

Pretty sure they've been doing that the past couple months.

A lot of dumb to unpack here.

Is this a injury that happened in the off season or is this wear a tear type deal?

Guy is having fricking back surgery

I hate that we will miss Guidry for the season but relax with this. Jay led it on for a month and a half and finally a decision was made. No one knew it would this bad. We were all hopeful but after week 5 I even started a thread about what was going on. Fingers crossed he comes back next season even stronger

Did you miss the previous sentence, or are you purposefully being obtuse?

Here is the previous sentence with what you quoted.

quote:

Also thank god we can finally put that retarded "it's not an injury" theory to bed. Guy is having fricking back surgery,

It almost seems like you read that as the complete opposite of the obvious intent.

it's likely a fusion. Injections or nerve burns would not necessitate a multi month recovery.

Highly doubt it’s a fusion, probably microdiscectomy. Hopefully done by Dr. Scrantz.
