He's kind of a forgotten man because he's been a role player and he's filled that role quite well and consistently behind Fournette and Guice.
2014: 64 carries 302 yards 3TD
2015: 60 carries 296 yards 4TD
2016: 52 carries 233 yards 3TD
Guice is the man this year but there's a drop off after him. Not much in the way of experience. With that in mind, Williams is more important this year. I hope he can spell Guice when it's needed.

Guice is fine, will be going full speed come Saturday. I think people make way too much out of O's comments.
I think with Fournette now gone Williams will show everyone why he was so highly regarded. He's going to smash some people this year while showing off his skills as a RB. These guys with their last chance to shine like Williams, Herron, Gilmore, Lacouture, Chark, Alexander, Thompson and Battle will all be putting it all out there this year. We have the veterans.
If Orgeron can fill this roster up with quality guys ever year so that we have junior and sophomore behind the seniors who are of the quality of our freshman this year then LSU is in great shape. I'm hoping he can get that done so that LSU doesn't NEED to play freshman. We can play them if we like but not because we need to. Especially along our lines but across the board this is how LSU would like to be set up going forward.
