Grove Tailgate Info

It's been a while since I've been to the grove (2011). Was thinking about doing the lyric tailgate thing, but you know what... frick that. I wanna be in throws of it all and have piss bombs/chandeliers thrown at me IDGAF. I know the liquor laws are crazy there and have stupid rules about having padlocks on coolers and such. How should I go about tailgating there? I want to drink heavily and have a good time.

I went for an egg bowl 2 years ago and people poured liquor openly which surprised me. Did they change the law?

If you want to actually make it to the game, I would let them have the Grove.
The bullshite restrictions there on open flames, drinking games, open containers would be enough to keep me away, but do you really wanna deal with these douchenozzles in the 1st video below all day?

Thanks for your concern Honkus. I'm not scared of some young ole miss figs though. We are the villians and they are the little scared blackbears. Just looking for updated drinking laws/tips to get started out there in the CENTER of the grove.

CAN NOT HAVE CANS OF BEER WHATSOEVER. I GOT STOPPED CARRYING AN UNOPENED CASE TO A TAILGATE AND THE COP MADE ME EMPTY EVERY CAN INTO THE TRASH.

I go up every year with some Ole Miss "friends" and usually it is pretty lax as long as you're drinking from a cup. BUT I can imagine they're going to be extra douchey about it this year. Backpack ice chest with it on my back at all times and beverages in a cup is my plan.

They do a “tent run” on Friday. They grove from what I remember is roped off and at x-time (I can’t remember — 6?) the rope is dropped and people run for their spots.

I’m not going but I’m interested in this now. So how does one get beer around and then proceed to pour it in a cup or whatever it is they’re drinking. Really weird rule but I’m curious now

Probably a plastic bag .. or ice chest and then pour into a cup once at your tent or a tent.
