Honestly, I would forget tailgating in the grove as a visiting fan. The ole miss fans reserve their spots on about Friday and will be packed in like sardines. Tailgating is not allowed anywhere else on campus. No open flames are allowed (you’ll understand when you see how congested the grove is).
Alcohol is okay anywhere, but must be put in a cup (including beer). All ice chests must be locked when left unattended.
I have never had anyone get in my face or even be rude to me. They will greet you, shake your hand and slap you on the back….be aware that when they Pat you on the back, they are putting an ole Miss sticker on your back. I thought that was pretty damn funny!
The scene will be the polar opposite of LSU tailgating in pretty much every way. I would say not better or worse, just drastically different. Go and enjoy the day. Don’t act like an arse, or you will spend the weekend in the LaFayette County jail.

You can have a great experience for this game and never set foot in the Grove. It’s not meant to satisfy the opponent fan experience. They don’t do it like we do. No friendly fire. They’re not the only ones, but remember they have an inferiority complex to begin with. Just don’t go.
