My wife and I will be making the trip down to Death Valley for our game on September 23rd. I couldn't be more excited. As a lifelong lover of college football, experiencing the LSU gameday atmosphere and tailgating scene is a bucket-list item for me.
Your fans that made the trip up north two years ago were very well-liked by the Cuse fanbase. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a drop of alcohol left in the city afterwards.
Question for you guys, if I may: I want to sit in Section 303 behind the visiting bench. It looks like Stubhub has tickets either very low (around Row 10) or very high (around Row 60), but nothing inbetween. Which would you recommend for the best view of the field?
Also, is there one cant-miss restaurant in Baton Rouge we should try while we're there?
Thanks very much for any advice.

Definitely go Row 60. Row 10 is too low on the sidelines.
We have a lot of good local cuisine places. Chimes is a favorite of mine. Great beer selection and good S Louisiana foods. Boudin Omelet is awesome.
I also like Parrains as a S Louisiana place.

Tony's seafood. What's that BBQ place by the river?

Louisiana Lagniappe. I've had seafood everywhere, and they are the best I've ever had.
Go to the Village and just order the Village Bread. Life-changing.

Row 60 is a great spot. Sit to low and it's hard too see.
Seafood : Chimes and Parrains. Parrains is better in my opinion but the beer selection at chimes is great.

Definitely go with row 60. Row 10 is too low.
Ruffinos for dinner
Chimes or walkons for lunch on game day.

Row 10)
im on row 13...go higher. you can't see the near sideline or LSU sideline. We have a very high crown on the field.

There will be more SU fans in and around row 10, but the seats aren't very good. Row 1 is essentially field level and you can't see over the players standing on the sidelines. Row 10 is better, but not by a lot. I would definitely get the Row 60 seats. The view of the entire field is MUCH better.

Row 60 for sure. Row 10 you won't be able to see plays develop and such.

Row 10 is too low. Parrain's or Mike Anderson's for a great taste of local seafood, Chimes for a good beer/food mix near campus, Walk-On's food is meh but provides good pre-game or night-before game social atmosphere. Good scenery!
My thoughts on Cuse two years ago:
1.) Enjoyed the famous BBQ restaurant downtown, but was not overly impressed. Those places are a dime a dozen in the south. In BR, TJ Ribs or City Pork is comparable.
2.) How can you put "Carrier" on your dome and not have A/C in it??!! Should have been automatic with naming rights. It got a little warm in there.
3.) Downtown bars and restaurants lost major dollars by opening too late. LSU fans were lined up for an hour or so outside of any place that sold food/alcohol. I guess in the SEC "it just means more".
