Like as much as I want To shite on O

We are really scraping the barrel with our Cbs

Unless the offense completely shuts the bed it’s going to be hard to blame
Him for losing a shootout.

Good Lord, don't strangle yourself clutching those pearls.

I'm sorry so many people are still pouting about a college student making a choice in the best interest of himself and his family, but the world will keep spinning, I promise.

Who’s going to pay for Greedy and his family to survive if he suffers a career ending injury?

Why even play the season then? He showed last year how good he is. This whole "you could get injured" talk is bullshite and cowardly. He was AWARDED a scholarship to PLAY football for LSU. He didn't get a scholarship to sit on his arse. These millennial players are just such pussies these days. All muscle, no heart. Guys like Devin White are a rarity.

Again, necessary risks and unnecessary risks.

players weigh the risk of injury vs wanting to finish off the season with ones team and teammates and very few seem to think the risk of playing is untenable and decide to go ahead and play the game. Greedy is one of the few that has decided that the minor chance of injury is more important to him than being a part of his team and playing in this one last game with them. Nothing against him but it does point to a lack of character or a character issue, not that he can't outgrow this issue as he matures into manhood as I hope that he will.

Man you are the dumbest person on this board by far. You logic is that of a 1st grader.

Playing a game, that is your "chosen career", that is again the way you are "choosing" to make your living ... IS necessary.

The stupidity on this board is downright mesmerizing.

I think you are the one greatly confused on what necessary and unnecessary risk is.

You literally compared waking up, walking outside and slipping on a curb to playing in a bowl game with no implications...

And the odds are just as great as waking up and walking outside and slipping on a curb..... It's ridiculous to try and argue this point.

What would the program do for him if he got hurt and never played again

They certainly would not write him a 30 million check

Taking a season off of football is a great way to get passed up.

You still have to show you can play ball.

So we should end his scholarship now that he’s stopped playing football.
OH LOOK HE ISNT frickING GOING TO LSU NEXT SEMESTER.

Schalorship over

He Earned a scholarship, and kept it as long as he played football for us.

If this game was necessary then the NFL wouldn't be drafting players that skip bowls.

That one act by the NFL has deemed bowl games to be the exact opposite of necessary. They're the definition of an option in terms of an NFL career.

You're welcome for the logic.

You won't heat that from me, but I will give him a ton of credit for winning the game with so many players missing.

However, I do look forward to seeing the people bashing Greedy saying that recruits read this board and that it has such a huge impact on recruiting. It's so quite interesting that Trey Quinn gets love on the board for every catch he makes even though he "quit" on LSU.

LSU gave him the platform to succeed. I see it as disrespectful to their teammates and the coaches as well as the program in general

in the scheme of his personal agenda to Texas A&M game didn't mean any more than the fiesta Bowl. So why not skip Texas A&M too?

It's because skipping the bowl game became a thing. Plain and simple

what did we win in any other of our games other than 'the game'. You want to win games and not lose games because that is what you do in college football. Perhaps there is a trophy given at the end of this game, don't know.

Most people view wins and losses and poll rankings as important regardless of whether the team wins the NC trophy or any other tangible item or not. This game will have a huge effect on how this season is perceived and on our final poll ranking. It would put us back in the top ten for the first time since 2011 and along with the great 2019 recruiting class and hopefully another top 10 or better finish in 2019 along with a great 2020 class will put us firmly back in the mix for the playoffs and in better position for beating Bama and winning a NC.

No, it really doesn't. Greedy could potentially have life-altering wealth in the near future, and he made a decision to minimize the risk of losing it.

Just because you disagree with his decision doesn't make it immature or reveal any character flaws.
