Is it great because they favor us in almost every game or do they actually provide great insight?

One of the more in depth statistical analyses I've seen recently, actually.

while i like Bill C's articles usually i just don't see how we'll make it beyond 9-3. 5 SEC road games is insane and the o line issues are very alarming. we'll drop bama, probably florida, and most likely a stupid game we shouldn't lose.

You know how this works. It provides great insight because they favor us in almost every game.

Any reason "probably Florida" other than it being in Gainesville? They've got all the same offensive issues we do, but don't have the benefit of a (hopefully) improved coordinator. I think it's pretty easy to see how we get past 9-3: don't lose to Florida. That would still allow for the "stupid game" loss.

teams are somewhat evenly matched but with some much to replace i have a hard time seeing us overcoming playing in the swamp. really a shame that game isn't being played in BR this year.

As daunting as that sounds, honestly Bama was the only elite team in the SEC last season. That may change this year. I expect Auburn to be a top team and if Florida improves offensively they will as well. Those are the only teams that I would say equal LSU from a talent stand point and if Canada's offense is as good as advertised, I would only consider Bama better.

More worried about Auburn than Florida, by far. And Bama is winnable, with a really flawless offensive performance.

They do provide some great insight IMO. However, they do seem to underplay the young talent that is coming in for us. I, for one, expect players like Grant Delpit, K'Lavvon Chaisson, and a handful of our young receiver corps to show out this season.

The opening and ending quote still ring true as ever. All we need is a modest improvement on the offensive side of the ball to be special. I truly believe we will be. Whether that's objective or because subconsciously I need to believe that to get hype for the season, your guess is as good as mine.

Wow, one more than the usual 4... with 2 being from both of the Mississippi schools. It's not that damn bad.

one more road game and one less home game. when you only play 12 games it is a big deal. especially when you trade a game in TS for the swamp.

He relies a lot on production and LSU WR's just hasn't had the chance to spread the ball around. Recruiting rankings and returning production are factored into his model but only for the first few weeks.

I agree. I think Auburn's offense will be really, really good. However much I dislike Malzahn, he has a system that can be hard to slow down.

But I am not impressed much with their defense. Not horrible, but the very type of defense that LSU has done well against in recent years. And with Canada onboard, I think we put at least 30 points on the board.

Can they score 30 on Aranda in Tiger Stadium??
