If you have an extra hour (yes, it is long) and like to hear about the success story of Kurt Ainsworth, Jack Marucci, Joe Lawrence, Reed Dickens and Marucci Sports, I would highly recommend one of my favorite PBS podcasts, How I Built This with Guy Raz. If you are not familiar with Guy Raz, he is the longtime host of one of the most popular worldwide podcasts on PBS. For Kurt to be selected as Guy’s guest is a remarkable achievement, as Guy only picks the best and brightest successful business owners in the United States.

In the early 00’s I was asked my interest to be an investor and passed. After I politely declined I remember saying, “this is never going to work.”
