White has non-verbal autism and suffers from seizures. And the first time her parents ever heard her speak was while they were watching an LSU baseball game on TV last year. When Crews stepped up to the plate, White cheered, “Dylan Crews!”

quote:

Crystal posted the video on Facebook, and one of the LSU baseball parents sent it to Crews. His dad, George Crews, bought the family tickets to the game. That’s where Crews met Aubrey for the first time in person.

quote:

And he’s gone out of his way to keep in touch with Aubrey — he missed her Dylan Crews-themed birthday party last June, but made sure to FaceTime her when he got off the bus at the Super Regional in Tennessee. He also went with LSU coach Jay Johnson to the opening of the all-abilities Team of Dreams field in Gonzales, where Aubrey plays adaptive baseball.

This is what it’s all about, LSU has a great young man representing them

I have a daughter who plays Miracle League baseball, and this story completely warms my heart. We've had a chance for her to play ball with some minor leaguers and college and high school athletes, and those guys and girls make a huge impact on these kids. It's the kind of thing that changes lives, even though a lot of times the athletes aren't even fully aware of the impact they've made. Kudos to Dylan. This is the kind of thing the world needs more of.

Yeah Dylan is a great kid. He spends more time with the kids postgame when signing autographs than any of the players. The kids talk to him and he actually engages in conversation with them. I’m a huge Crews fan

Aubreys dad occasionally posts on TD. The Crews family is as good as it gets.

Video worked but was sort of hard to see because someone has been cutting onions in here.

Thanks for posting.
