He’s done a LOT of good things so far. For instance we haven’t been that prepared for a season opener since 2011 Oregon.

But that bs in Lexington last night was his worst game of the season.

Not great but not terrible either. Hopefully we close the back half strong and that bumps him up to an 8 or 9

A passing grade for being .500 ? Man yall are generous.

We are 4-2.

I don’t think you know what .500 is.

5 is my call so far on this season btw.

I think we will long term be fine but there have been several misses and I was on record saying prior to the hire that kiffin would be too expensive. There’s too many things that go into a coach having a successful tenure to justify a new hire coming in. An established guy getting an extension after multiple championships? Ok. At that price you don’t get to lose at UK.

That doesn’t mean I think he won’t succeed or wasn’t excited.

It’s just a principle thing.

A bit torn on this one. Part of me says he’s a first year coach, keep that in mind. The other part says we put 50 million in these “top tier” players. You get graded accordingly.

I’m going with a 4.9. The effort we all saw last night with 50 million dollars prancing around out there was pathetic. If Kentuckys kicker didn’t choke twice that game would have ended in regulation.

Kentucky is better than media is giving them credit for but LSU is absolutely more talented than them even with injuries. They handed the game to LSU twice and they did nothing with it.

Kiffin hasn't been perfect but the bulk of both losses are on defense straight up. Baker has to go. It's that simple. For the money he's making it's nothing to get a much better DC who's reliable in big games. The ROI there is horrible.

Falls on HC shoulders too though so Kiffin gets a 5/10 even if he/Weiss have worked magic with a bunch of mediocre on offense through scheme.

That’s because we still have the same dog shite DC from the BK years. Baker is directly responsible for both losses this year

Can’t wait for him to be gone next year

They were accurately rated. LSU gave them the game last night. It was a one point game with LSU trying to kill themselves all night

They choked that game in the back half of the game. Up to that point, they were extremely competitive. They have overachieved in every game they've played including that one despite getting pounded.

Bama and Georgia is the best teams in the SEC and it's not close. Bama should've won yesterday if they didn't get hosed by refs. Those two teams standout in the SEC right now while everyone else is heavily flawed.

This what LSU's problem is. LSU's defense even with injuries is inexcusable at how bad Baker is with that talent. Kiffin has to look at performance at the end of the season and part ways with this guy.

in comparison, look at how many mediocre guys LSU has on offense and through scheme Kiffin/Weiss still are able to produce. Name me a single WR on LSU's team that scares defenses right now? Your best offensive player is hurt with a lot of mediocre on their OL too.

LSU's offense right now = overachieving relative to talent in certain position groups

LSU's defense right now = way underachieving even with injuries they got plenty of talent

I’ll give him a 5. That doesn’t mean I am not a huge believer in Lane, but now is the time to step up and change the playcalling and coaching approach now that we know who we are.

I'll give him a 7, has to be difficult to get all these players who never played together and never been in his system to mesh. I expect better and hopefully we will see better
