Gotta be an F this year.
Things are so bad for McMahon this year that even the one star he’s coached in his career has displayed an incredible lack of discipline off the court.

F+/D-
The only thing keeping him from being an F- is that he had to piece a broken roster together in the midst of chaos surrounding the program. Also we took care of business in OOC play, albeit it wasn’t pretty by any circumstance.

Ok I'll play. he gets a D. Might have gotten a C- had he played the freshmen earlier. I will grade him more harshly after next season. Will depend on who he can keep and what he can bring in through the portal. He beat the OOC teams. They were competitive the last part of the season but were not able to close. That falls directly on having an SEC caliber PG which they don't. And an inconsistent 2 guard. Not gonna win many games with that no matter how well you coach.

The season ticket holders will renew but many will not show up if this continues. That is the only way to get the administrations attention

Administration does NOT care. There is ZERO accountability for fat money bags. NONE.

anything other than an F is ridiculous...
this has been one of the, if not THE, most embarassing seasons in LSU basketball history, period...
from top to bottom it was a complete disaster... McMahon will not last long in BR, b/c it's going to be more of the same, if not actually worse, next year...

I’m not as down on McMahon in the future as some IF he can get a good transfer class and recruiting class this year, but this season was easily an F. I graded Kelly and Johnson on the same scale in their first seasons- solely on if the team was playing hard, improving from week to week, and consistently in it, and they got A’s. Based on that criteria, McMahon is an F-. Team completely quit on him, zero improvement whatsoever and we actually regressed, he didn’t seem interested or like he gave a shite in the press conferences, and I went from very excited about him to completely indifferent after our 12-1 start. Just a disaster

The guy is a NO energy incompetent that is way over his head and could give a shite as he is just another guy given a powerball even though he cannot perform.

They were picked to finish 8th in the conference and to be a bubble team. This wasn't a pick by some pimple faced geek but by basically every reputable publication out there.
1. Kentucky
2. Arkansas
3. Tennessee
4. Auburn
5. Alabama
6. Texas A&M
7. Florida
8. LSU
9. Ole Miss
10. Mississippi State
11. Missouri
12. Vanderbilt
13. Georgia
14. South Carolina
They really knocked these out of the park.

Other first year coaches faced similar roster turnover and had much more successful seasons,
Not really. Who?
If you're going to say "wElL lOok aT MiSSouRi!!!"
Missouri: 31.5% of minutes played and 32.9% of scoring return from 2021-22 roster
LSU: 15.8% of minutes played and 7.3% of scoring return from 2021-22 roster
Not a similar roster turnover...
Who would've thought Adam Miller would've shot 33% from the field and 31% from 3???
Who really thought when we signed Juice Hill, he would do the same?? Other than KJ, they were the 2 biggest pickups correct???
Hill: 29% from the field and 25% from 3
Oh yeah, we have Mwani coming back!! How many games did he play??? 12.
You are putting wayyy to much faith in 18 year old Freshman, and a bunch of bench players thinking they're going to cover for the lack of execution of our "best players"?? GTFOH
Someone please have an actual basketball discussion with me as to why any of this bs y'all are spitting makes sense. Please.

Take LSU's entire basketball recruiting budget for the next two years and put it into an NIL deal for transfers.

So a guy he inherited and a guy he brought with him both sucked. Sounds like a coaching failure.
