I see you mentioned nothing about “this will all go away once the election is over” that many right wing nut jobs (like Don Jr.) were pushing trying to make this a political thing. What happened to that? Maybe this thing wasn’t political at all and maybe we should trust the experts instead of blow hard Orange fat asses.

We're seeing a spike flat out due to Halloween and the election. Around the end of January, after the holidays are over, we will see a reduction in numbers. It will have nothing at all to do with going back to Phase 2, but JBE will take credit.

Damn, some people didn’t pay attention in 8th grade science class. Why do colds and flu spread more easily in fall and especially winter? Here’s a hint. It isn’t because you get cold or your body changes temperatures.
First off, ALL viruses transmit more easily in drier air, and the outdoor humidity tends to run lower when it isn’t raining this time of year. If you run heat in your office or house, the indoor humidity plummets into the 20-35% range. That’s 20-35% lower than what most buildings run in the spring and summer. SARS-COV-2 just happens to have a greater R0 than the flu or other viruses, so it takes better advantage of the conditions.
The second point is simple. People spend more time indoors when it gets colder. If someone gets it and brings it home or to work, others in close proximity will be even more likely to catch it from them thanks to point 1.
It’s not about masks or no masks at this point. This is nothing more than what happens with a difficult flu season, except that this disease is more contagious, has more potential complications, and has a slightly higher death rate. Anyone who understands basic science should get this. It baffles me that most are so wrapped up in one political viewpoint or another to see it.
It’s going to spread this winter no matter what you do. Mark it down. If you really want to slow it down, buy some humidifiers for your house (and actually keep them clean) and put a UV light or bipolar ionizer in your home unit or units. That will keep it and most anything else from spreading around your family.
