Bring Mike back. He lives a really cushy life and it’s not too much to ask that he pay back for it with seven appearances in Tiger Stadium.

Anybody who’s ever had a dog that went nuts with excitement upon being asked if they he wanted to go for a ride should understand that it would NOT be “animal abuse“ to take our Tiger for a little spin around campus and a lap around the field on a few fall Saturdays a year-
Tigers and dogs are definitely equivalent and if a dog likes to ride in the car then of course Tigers like to riding in small cages in front of large loud crowds. Now that I think of it, my fish like to be submerged in water, we should water seal Mike's cage and fill it with water. I mean fish like to be in water so why not Tigers?

He didn’t even go to LSU. Why does this concern him? Just like JBE at Burrow’s Heisman ceremony sitting next to Coach O.
I can’t stand when the governor is entitled to input on what LSU athletics are doing unless it is related to the actual university. Like dude you want some brownie points, then go get a brand new state of the art library built or something academic related. Stay out of sports. We got it covered.

Mike will never enter the stadium again. I don’t know how everyone hasn’t realized that by now.
It was a pretty overrated experience anyway, brought to you by Gerry Lane Chevrolet.

Maybe for you.
There are thousands of fans and players that disagree.
I used to have a HS football coach that played for Rice Owls. He always talked about his first time seeing Mike when he ran out the tunnel.

quote:He doesn't care about LSU or Mike. He's hoping for this to get far enough that PETA gets involved and he can have a high profile court case in the national news. Once again he's "finding" a non-existent problem and stoking the fires in the hope of spending our state's funds on legal fees to keep his name in the national news.
Gov Landry petitioning to get Mike back on field

Doing what is best for the tiger isn't "liberal". It's called being decent.
Jeez.

If it's not a big deal then you and Jazzy Jeff can go get him out of his cage and escort him over to the stadium. Simple.

So what does that have to do with LSU athletics specifically LSU football?
The university and the athletic departments are completely separate entities.

Sheer genius. Wow.
I just researched it on Facebook and found out how Mike the Tiger being present in the stadium equates to better infrastructure, lower crime, higher teacher pay, and better schools.

Run ole Mike out there on a leash and let’s see what happens

Posted on 9/4/24 at 10:55 am to Mr Roboto
Ole Mike the tiger better be standing for the national anthem. If not Jeff will be sure to "go ahead and take that scholarship"

Hopefully, we're never playing Rice again so your anecdote is irrelevant.

You missed the point.
We’ve listened to many former opposing players talk about how cool the tradition was. I knew at least one, personally.
Same for fans.
